Ambria told her she finished school. Emily asked how it went. Good. She’s gotten As in geometry, chemistry, health, French, language arts, and history. Emily said it sounds like she got good grades in hard classes. Emily asked which was hardest. History. Emily said she thought it might be chemistry or geometry. Ambria said geometry was pretty easy because it was 9th and 10th graders and the teacher explained things a lot. Emily asked why she was in a class with 10th graders. Ambria said there isn’t one just for 9th grade. Emily asked when she picks classes for next year. Ambria already did pick them. Emily asked about electives. Ambria picked French 2, yoga, and woodworking. Emily said woodworking will be interesting. Ambria said she won’t be able to do that one from home, so it will probably be second semester if they go back by then. Emily said yoga sounds neat to her. She wishes she had options like that. Emily asked if the yoga is a PE requirement. Ambria said they have to have two semesters of PE. Emily asked what the other half of yoga is. Ambria said the PE requirement is only for 9th grade. Emily said she thinks Ambria will make some really neat stuff in woodworking. She thinks it might become a hobby. Ambria said maybe.
Emily asked what she’s planning to do now that she’s free of schoolwork. Ambria told her she’s doing a workshop for writing role playing game adventures. Emily said that sounds interesting and asked how she found out about it. Ambria said I told her about it. Emily asked when it started. July 1, 2020. Emily asked if they have to do it every week. Ambria said they post a little at a time and you can go through it whenever you want.
Emily asked if she would like some photos of Reda through the window. Ambria said yes.
Ambria told her she got a letter from Benny and Lolly a few days ago saying they had talked to her on the phone. She doesn’t remember what else they said.
The cat made a sound and Ambria asked if that’s what it was. Yes. Emily told that she is trying to get under the door.
Emily asked if Benny drew her any pictures. No. Emily said they’re trying to social distance.
Ambria told her it’s raining here today. Emily said it’s not but it’s supposed to. It’s in the 80s. Someone is moving in upstairs, so it’s making lots of noise. She said a family moved in with 3 teenagers who have skateboards. She thinks they’re trying to teach each other how to skateboard. She thinks the dog will want to visit them.
Emily said the cat is trying to break the door down. She asked if Ambria heard it. Yes.
