They wished each other good morning. Emily asked if she’s having cereal. Yes. She asked what kind. Cinnamon Toast Crunch. Emily said she likes that.
Emily asked what she’s been doing the past 3 days. Ambria told her about meeting the neighbors and having a social across the balconies. Emily said “That’s nice.” She asked if they have any kids her age. No. Emily asked if they have noisy pets. Ambria told her the apartment doesn’t allow pets.
Emily told about the lady next door to her who walks the dog many times throughout the days. She puts it outside and it barks a lot. Panda has met the dog twice. She’s not friendly.
Emily asked if they have small children. No. Emily asked if they’re older. Ambria said she doesn’t know. Emily asked what side of the building. Ambria tried to describe it. Emily asked how many floors it has. Ambria told her it has 3 and a basement. Emily guessed that we live on the 2nd floor. Ambria corrected her that we live on the 3rd. Emily asked if they have stairs or an elevator. Both. Emily asked if the stairs are steep. Not as steep as our last place. Emily told about an older woman who lived above.
Emily said she’s heard a lot about the protests in Capitol Hill. Ambria told her there was a curfew for a few nights. Ambria said there’s not much here in West Seattle but that they have some peaceful protests that a classroom friend went to. Emily said they have a few in Knoxville and were talking about one where she lives. She’s not confident it will work there. She said Halsey took part in protests in LA and was tear gassed and shot with rubber bullets.
Emily asked how school is going. Good. The main classes she has left are science and history. She has one project left in language arts. In French, they’re just practicing stuff. Emily asked if she’s still doing Duolingo. Emily said she started it again and then forgot. She said the owl was more friendly this time. She decided she would go back.
Emily asked about Ambria’s Sims baby challenge. Ambria told her 3. Emily said last time she had one and one on the way. Emily asked if the same character has all the babies. Ambria said once your initial sim gets too old, you go to the youngest child. She’s not sure if that’s right. Emily said it seems like there are a lot of different rules you can go by. Ambria agreed.
Emily asked what she’s doing today. Ambria doesn’t have anything planned. She’ll probably play Animal Crossing. Emily asked how she’s doing in that. Good. She’s decorating her island. She told about the hot tub area she’s making and how she’s moving all her fruit trees. Emily said that would be easier. She said she’s glad she’s having fun and that school’s going well. Emily said it sounds like she won’t have any more trouble with it. Ambria told her they have two more weeks. Emily guessed only one week of actual work. Emily asked about wellness. Ambria said they’ve just started Flash. Emily asked if she’s still doing derby workouts. Ambria forgot last week but will get back to it this week. Emily asked if she goes outside to skate. No. Emily asked if there’s no place. Ambria said we have a parking space she could use. Emily asked if she has a whole lot. Ambria said other people may be parked in their spaces.
