Emily wished her a good morning. Ambria reciprocated. Emily asked what she’s doing. She’s about to take the trash, compost, and recycling. Emily asked if that’s a long walk. No.
Emily asked if Ambria could see her. No. Emily fixed it.
Ambria told her she finished her room. Emily said it took a week. Yes. Emily asked if it feels better. Yes. Ambria offered to show her and took the phone into her room to give her a walkthrough. Emily said she likes her cat picture. She asked who made it. Ambria doesn’t remember. She likes the lamp on her desk. She asked if the desk is an IKEA desk. Emily is glad she has a nice big window. She showed Emily the view out the window. Emily commented on the Safeway gas station. Emily said about the room generally that it “looks nice.”
Emily said her coffee is very hot. She said she got a new cup that is metallic. It holds more and keeps it very warm.
Ambria told her she had her first science meeting on Friday. Emily asked how it went. Not many people showed. There were 7 people in the meeting including Ambria and the teacher. Emily commented that not many people showed. Ambria said some probably forgot. Emily asked if she could see them. Ambria said she should have been able to see them but couldn’t. They talked about what they’d been doing. Emily asked if that’s not necessarily academics. Yes.
Emily asked if she had her derby workout on Wednesday. Yes, and they did yoga. Emily asked if she does it in the floor or has a yoga mat. Emily said she needs one but hasn’t yet.
McKenzie’s family is moving at the beginning of June. Emily asked if she’s talked to her. Yes, she FaceTime’s a few times a week. Emily asked if that’s the person she plays games with. Emily said she found someone to play games with and now they’re moving. Yes, but they can still play. Emily asked if they had attended each others’ birthday parties. Yes. Emily said that’s no good. Emily asked if she’s moving pretty far. 20 minutes. Emily asked if she could still see her. Ambria said they might still get together.
Emily asked if she’s the only kid here. Ambria knows some kids that live near here but not in the apartment.
Emily asked if Safeway delivers here. Yes, but we mostly order from Amazon. Emily said she needs to go to the store. She can’t do Amazon delivery. They have Kroger and Walmart delivery. Emily said parking lots are still full. She thinks 70% still go to the store and 30% order. (Bad at math, apparently.)
Emily said she’s been feeding the geese apples. She’s not sure if she’s supposed to. She fed one that was having a problem extra. She asked if Ambria knows they have teeth on their tongue. She said “that’s why you don’t mess around with geese.”
