Emily asked how it went and if she got moved. Yep. Emily asked if it was hard. It was pretty hard. Emily asked how many trips it took. Ambria told her we had movers, and they made everything in one trip. We took stuff that was fragile or wouldn’t fit in boxes. Emily asked her to show her room once she has it set up.
Emily asked if we stayed here last night. Yes. Emily asked how it went. Ambria said “good.” Emily asked how the weather was. Ambria said it was a little rainy and it didn’t get hot. Ambria told her today it’s sunny and in the 60s. Emily told her it’s 85 today. She’s sitting on the porch. She asked if Ambria has heard of a barn swallow. She told her about it and showed her the nest they’re making and the mess it’s causing on her porch. Emily said they started “yelling and chirping” in the morning. She said they chase the dog and dive at her. She thinks they are having babies. She said if the sprinklers go off, they will kill the bird. Emily said she “got a little nerdy” and read all about them.
Ambria asked if she wants to see the balcony. She turned the camera around and showed Emily. Emily commented on the tree. Ambria showed her that the balcony wraps and showed her the window. She showed her plants on the balcony.
Emily showed her plants: a creeping Jenny, a “spider plant,” then her camera froze. She showed her others: a thanksgiving cactus, something else that’s trying to die on her. She said her balcony isn’t big. She has a porch. Ambria said her plants are still really small. Emily said she can water them and get some plant food. She said “they’ll be doing good on that deck.” Ambria said she needed to water them. Emily asked if she has a watering can. Ambria had one but it blew away. Emily asked what she uses. Ambria said she uses a cup. Emily said she’d have to make a few trips and it might disturb the soil. Emily said she has weeds.
Emily asked if her bathroom is “fixed up and everything.” Ambria’s been working on it. Emily asked about her shower curtain. Ambria said she got the old one hanged and got the new liner up. Emily asked about the new duvet. Not yet. Emily said she’s glad she got “somewhat situated.”
Ambria asked if she’s gone to see Reda. Not yet. She said her roommate is not doing well and Emily doesn’t want to disturb her. She said she might go next week.
Ambria showed her we can see the Starbucks from our apartment. She showed her where the Safeway and the Metropolitan Market. Emily asked if she’s close to the beach. Ambria said we’re a lot closer to the bus that goes straight there. Emily asked if there are a lot of people here her age. Ambria said two of her friends live really close. Emily asked if they are friends she talks about like Ava and McKenzie. No, McKenzie is move to Puyallup and won’t be going to her school anymore. Emily said she hates to hear that.
