Emily said it’s raining there. Ambria told her it’s also raining here. Emily asked if she’s done anything outside. No. Ambria told her it’s been cool and rainy the last couple of days. Emily said it’s been in the 60s in the evening and rained Thursday night.

Emily asked about her Zoom call with her team on Wednesday. Ambria told her it was good. They don’t talk; it’s just a workout. Emily asked if she had to actually do exercise movements. Yes. Emily asked what. They worked on legs, balance, and yoga. Emily said, “Good.”

Emily asked about school work. Ambria said they had a lot last week, but she got it all done. Emily asked if Monday is a new week. Yes. Ambria told her there’s one thing she still has to do: a science quiz. Emily asked what it’s over. Ambria isn’t sure. Emily asked if they’re timed and if she can repeat them. It depends. Some are timed and some have a limit of the number of times you can take them. Emily asked if that’s for all classes. Yes. Emily said she doesn’t think they should be very rigid since everyone is adjusting to the distance learning. Ambria said that’s what most classes are doing except for language arts. There, they have a practice quiz they can retake and then a real quiz. Emily asked if the quizzes are over the same material. Yes.

Emily asked if everything is still shut down here. Yes. Emily said the governor is talking about reopening in phases. They’re going to open restaurants with a limited capacity and you have to wear a mask. Retail reopening later with masks optional. Ambria asked how you could wear a mask in a restaurant. Emily doesn’t know. Emily thinks it’s in response to the protests, but she still thinks it’s too early to reopen. She said people around her don’t wear their masks like they should. They don’t keep six feet away. She tries to do what she feels is the right thing. She said she was ranting again. “We’ll see how it goes.”

Ambria said her language arts teacher made a video. He has a calendar of the things they’ve been doing. If they have most of the stuff done for three different ones, they pass. Grammar topics (Emily asked if you’d pick the correct type of word in the sentence. Last week was independent and dependent clauses.) Emily said she’s glad they know what’s expected and have some normalcy.

Emily asked if there’s a lot of waiting in Animal Crossing. Ambria said not really. Emily asked if the character shows the fish every time. Yes, but Ambria has a way to speed up the text. Emily asked if it takes a long time to go somewhere. No. Ambria thinks it may be because it’s on a phone. She said it’s a lot of “Hurry up and wait.” Everyone wants to talk a lot. She still likes it though.

Ambria said she wants to go. Emily asked if they’ll talk on Wednesday. Yes. Emily asked if she has anything planned for the weekend. No. Emily asked if she’s still doing Duolingo. She reminded Ambria the owl gave up reminding her. They ended the call at April 25, 2020 9:09 AM.
