Emily asked what she’s doing. She’s making sugar cookies that aren’t turning out well. The dough is too dry. Emily said she got funfetti ones that were pretty good. The first batch was underdone and the second overdone. Emily asked if she made her dough. Yes. Emily said she’s not that dedicated.
Ambria told her she has a Zoom call with her derby team today to do a workout. Emily said that is neat. Emily asked if it was the first call. Ambria said they had one on Monday and few people showed. Emily asked if they exercised. No, they just talked about their plan. They’re going to have calls on Monday and Wednesday, when they would normally practice. Wednesday will be workouts. Emily said that would be fun to get some exercise.
Emily asked if they’re still doing online work. Ambria said they’re on spring break but one teacher assigned some work. Emily said her county called off school for the rest of the year.
Ambria told Emily she called McKenzie today to get her Switch friend code. Emily asked if she has any other friends. No, not her school friends. She has some other friends. Emily asked what McKenzie plays. The games they both have are Mario Kart and Super Mario Odyssey. Emily asked where she knows her from. School. Emily said that’s what she thought. Ambria tried to call Ava but she didn’t answer. Emily said to try her again.
Emily asked if she’s been doing anything else “Gamewise.” Ambria said she’s playing Splatoon and Animal Crossing. They’re building the town hall in Animal Crossing. Emily hasn’t made any progress in Animal Crossing. Ambria got a house upgrade that gave her a bedroom.
Emily asked if she’s keeping her Duolingo streak alive. Yes. It’s about 32-33 days. Emily’s streak ended and she hasn’t gone back. Emily asked if she gets notifications. No, but she does it at the same time. Emily said the owl is “very demanding.“ Emily is still on level 2 (food, family, etc.). Ambria told her how far she was. Emily asked how many levels there are and whether she uses her gems. Ambria bets the gems that she will maintain her streak.
Emily’s dog startled biting her. She showed Ambria the dog and said she was dirty and stinky. The cat is asleep. Emily had to replant a plant, and the wind blew over some others.
Emily said it’s been in the 30s at night. Ambria told her it’s very nice here. Emily said it’s in the 50s but windy.
Ambria said she cleaned out her closet. Emily asked if that’s hard. Ambria said not bad; it just needed organizing. Emily asked if she found anything interesting. A foam sword. Emily asked what she did with it. She’s getting rid of it. Emily said it makes her feel better to tidy things. Ambria said she doesn’t notice it.
Emily asked if Ambria wears her mask when she goes out. Ambria hasn’t been out. Emily said she wore hers. She said most people don’t wear them where she is. People are not being very careful. She thinks people are going shopping “just to have something to do.”
