Emily answered. There was a lot of wind. She said she was walking. She said she tries to walk 5 miles per day.

She asked what Ambria has been doing and if she has been playing games. Ambria said yes and that her remote school started.

Emily started saying something about Animal Crossing. The wind was very loud and the call ended up cutting out. She came back after a few seconds. She repeated that she was playing Animal Crossing on her phone and was using Duolingo. Ambria asked how far she is. She asked Ambria to hold on. She went into a hallway or something where the wind was not a problem. Ambria repeated the question. Emily said she’s doing one per day. Ambria asked which language. Emily said Spanish.

Ambria told her she’s on the first level of French and is about half way through it now.

Emily said her hair looks “fluffy in the right places.” Ambria said she washed it last night. Emily said she washed hers last night too. “Can’t you tell? That’s a trick question.”

Emily pointed out some ducks and said they were swimming. Emily said there’s a bird that moves slowly in the water and catches a fish. She asked if we have those here. Then, she said that described every bird. Ambria told her we mostly have crows, seagulls, and pigeons. Emily said there are signs that say not to feed the ducks. She asked if we have Canadian geese here. Ambria hasn’t heard about any. Emily said they’re very loud.

Emily talked about closing parts of the park so that people couldn’t congregate. Emily said it’s cold today (in the 50s) so there aren’t many people walking. Ambria said it wasn’t very cold here this morning but still kinda cold. Emily said she couldn’t hear well.

Ambria asked about Reda. Emily said she’s doing OK. Emily said she watches the numbers for different counties. There are two cases “here” but she thinks there will be quite a few more.

Ambria told her she’s been playing Animal Crossing every day. Emily asked how she’s doing. Ambria told her she has the museum up and running and has half her home loan paid off. Emily said she’s glad she’s enjoying playing it.

Emily asked if she’s doing any schoolwork. Ambria told her she’s watching videos and reading an article for science. She’s about to work on an assignment about parallel structure for language arts.

Emily cut out of the call again. Emily said that sounds interesting. She said she thinks walking was a bad idea.

Emily asked if she gets to go outside much. Ambria said we go on walks but it’s kinda cold. Emily said there’s supposed to be a farmer’s market coming in May. Emily asked if we have them here. Ambria told her we normally have one every Sunday. Emily said she went to one in Oak Ridge to get cucumbers and corn recently. Emily said she hasn’t made the corn yet.

Ambria told her she made banana pudding yesterday. The call cut out again. Emily came back a few seconds later and repeated. Emily asked how it turned out. Ambria said she didn’t let it sit for a while but it was still good. Emily asked if she likes it when it’s first made or after it’s sat. Ambria likes it after so it’s more solid.

Ambria said she wanted to go. Emily said she’ll talk to her on Saturday. They ended the call at April 1, 2020 3:25 PM.
