Emily asked if she’s up. Yes. Emily asked how her new classes went. Good. They started learning the periodic table in science. Emily always liked learning about that. They haven’t started anything new in history. They started making a map. They haven’t started anything in health yet. Emily said maybe she’ll be the project leader again. Emily asked why she’s always the leader. Ambria volunteers.
Emily asked if she got all her homework done. Yes. Emily asked if she got everything turned in for the old classes. Yes.
Ambria’s health teacher said they are a project-based class. Emily said that’s not bad and at least there won’t be homework. She said there wasn’t any in gym but they have to go through all that “gym hassle.” It was a hassle for her but maybe not for Ambria.
Ambria told her they’re doing an algebra review in geometry. Emily asked how it’s going. It’s OK. Emily asked what class she was taking. Ambria told her it stayed the same. Emily asked if she’s no longer taking physics but taking chemistry. Yes. Emily asked if she liked physics. It was OK. Just OK? Just OK. Emily said she doesn’t have to run 3 miles this semester. Yes.
Emily asked if she has friends in her classes. She has some in first, third, fourth, fifth, and sixth periods. She has one kinda friend in second. Emily said she could make new friends.
Emily asked how… She forgot what she was asking in the middle. She said maybe it will come back to her.
Ambria told her she remembered to send her school picture. Emily says that’s what she was going to say and that Ambria remembered it for her.
Ambria asked how Reda is. Emily said she’s doing OK and put the dog in front of the camera. She said she’s going to show Reda her picture and maybe replace the old one with it. Emily asked what month it was taken. September. Emily will make a note of that.
Emily asked if she has practice. No. Emily asked not until tomorrow? Ambria said her next one is on Monday.
Emily said Ambria has a fun-looking hoodie on. Ambria said she got it when we went to San Diego. Emily asked if it was fun. Yes. Ambria told her we went to a conference there and walked around on the last day. Emily asked if she’d like to live there. Ambria told her no. She said she liked the weather. Emily asked if there were palm trees. Yes. Ambria told her we have palm trees here too. Emily asked if she goes up and hugs them. Ambria told her thye’re usually in people’s yards.
Emily asked which class she’s most looking forward to. Health because she likes projects. Emily asked if she’s still in French. Yes. Is it French 2? Still French 1. Emily asked if she’s still liking it. Yes. Emily asked if she’ll still do it or if she’s done. Ambria has to take it next year to graduate but isn’t sure after that.
Emily said she will tell Reda hello and that she loves her and give her the new picture.
A noise came from Emily’s side and she said her coffee cup got away from her.
Emily said the thing she has on is really warm. Ambria asked what it is. It’s like a snuggy but not as fancy. She said it keeps her warm. It’s not a blanket; it’s not that long.
Ambria said she wanted to go. Emily said she hopes her new classes are fun. They ended the call at February 1, 2020 9:08 AM.
