This call time was changed to accommodate Saturday school. We negotiated this change when Ambria asked Emily about changing the call time for the previous Saturday school two weeks ago.
Emily said she looks like she’s ready for school. Yes. Emily asked what she has to do today. Studying for finals. Emily asked how they divide them. Ambria told her they go to the tutoring center in the library. She thinks there are some teachers there, but she doesn’t know. Emily asked how many kids. Ambria said about 30. Emily asked what she’s going to focus on. Math and Science since she has those on Monday. Ambria told her they can write a half-sheet of notes for the history final. She might start working on that. Emily asked how small she will write. Ambria can’t write very small, but she will try.
Emily said Snoop Dogg has joined up with Dunkin Donuts. Emily is going to try his biscuit. Emily said she wonders if he will be there. Ambria told her he has a cooking show with Martha Stewart. Emily asked if she doesn’t join in with his lingo. Yes. Ambria said they have a cookbook. Emily said she should get it. Ambria checked it out at the library. Emily asked what she has made. Ambria made some chocolate chip cookies and wants to make more. They were really good.
Emily noticed her Thrasher hoodie. She asked if it’s cold. Ambria said it’s not too cold and isn’t raining.
Emily asked what she thinks about the shooting downtown. Ambria said it was scary. Emily asked if she’s ever been there. Yes. Ambria said it’s the center of downtown. She has never been in the McDonalds. Emily said it was kinda scary. She asked if they have drills in place at her school. They have earthquake drills, lockdowns, and shelter in place. Ambria told about shelter in place. Emily said she only had tornado drills. Emily asked what she does for earthquake drills. Get under the desk. Emily told about some recent earthquakes in her area. Ambria said we have them here that you can hear and feel a little. She said it sounds like thunder.
Ambria told her they finished fitness testing. Emily said she sees Ambria survived. This week, they have the PE final. On the other days, PE is a study period. Emily asked when the French presentation is. Wednesday. Emily said math and science sound rough. Ambria thinks she will do well if she remembers everything in math. He gave them a bunch of study guides. Emily thinks her good memory will mean she’ll do well.
Emily asked if she’s wearing her hair up or down. Ambria showed her. Emily asked if she has to catch the bus. Yes. Emily asked if she had breakfast and is ready. Yes.
Ambria asked how Reda is. Emily said she’s doing well. Someone fell near a bird cage. She said it’s covered in glass and the birds fly around. It wasn’t Reda.
Ambria said she wants to go. Emily said she hopes her Saturday school goes well and her tests go well. They ended the call at January 25, 2020 7:53 AM.
