Ambria told her they ran the mile yesterday in PE. Emily asked how she did. 10:45. Emily asked what her other scores were. Ambria doesn’t remember. She thinks 11 something. Emily said that should be fine. Ambria said 10th graders are supposed to be finishing in 10 minutes. Emily asked if she ran or walked more. Ambria said ran. She and Stella sprinted at the end. Emily asked how she knows Stella. They met in Science in 7th grade. They became friends in advisory last year. Emily asked how old she is. Ambria guesses 14. She had an extra 30 seconds to run the mile. Emily said she would have to run it in negative time. Ambria said she noticed you start getting more time once you get past a certain age. Emily guessed you’re supposed to be very fit when you’re 13-14. Emily said that was the case for her because she played outside a lot.
Ambria told her they did push-up and sit-up tests today. She told her how many. Emily asked if her stomach is sore. No. Ambria told her she can do 100 sit-ups at a time. They have to do it to a recording. Ambria thinks the mats make it harder too. Ambria said the recording goes only to 80. The teacher counted out more for them last year. Tomorrow they’re doing the pacer and the sit and reach. Emily said she practically snaps her tendons in two. She remembers doing it in middle school. Ambria said they had to hold it in middle school but not anymore. Emily said that sounded easier. Ambria said she usually gets 14. Emily said she would do -14.
Emily asked if she had to do the presentation in French yet. Ambria thinks it’s next Wednesday. Emily asked what words she’s using to describe herself. Ambria said it’s just describing her family. Emily asked if you aren’t part of your family. Ambria said she guesses. She told Emily something she planned to say. Emily said it sounds hard to her and asked if Ambria likes it. Yes. She asked if she has to take it all 4 years and if she will. No and she’s not sure. Emily asked if she has to take another language or if she can take a different elective.
