Ambria was later than normal getting home from school, so she did not start the call at January 8, 2020 3:15 PM.
Emily asked how school was. Ambria told her the bus they were going to catch was full and that’s why she was late. Emily said she thought that might have happened. Her mom asked if she had to catch a third bus. She explained she had to use two buses.
Emily asked how her bonding activity was. Ambria said he never actually scheduled it. Emily asked if they met. No, but they had practice yesterday. Emily asked how it went. Ambria told her that, at first, they worked with the team above them. They each teamed up with one person from the other team. She said they were all going at different speeds in a big clump. Emily said it was “weird.” Ambria told her it’s just them at practice today. Emily said that’s not so bad.
Emily said the dog is being weird. Ambria laughed.
Ambria asked about Reda. Emily changed the subject. She talked about riding a ski lift. She said it was windy and she didn’t like it. She said they have a zip line and the people using that made her uncomfortable. She said it was fun. She didn’t take the swing back down. She said she took a bus instead and it was safer than the “swing.” She said she saw random jackets on the way down the mountain. Ambria said she guessed they had no way to get it back. Emily said it would be bad if it was really expensive.
Emily said the guy in front of her was wearing pajamas and slippers. They laughed about it. She said she would wear that next time.
Ambria asked how Reda is doing. Emily said she’s fine. She’s getting help from the neurologist to get her into therapy. Last year when he got started with her, he was very prepared with her background. She’s still working on all that. They’re eating as a group again, and everything is going well so far. She’s hoping when she gets the appt scheduled, she’ll have some more info for Ambria. She hasn’t had any more falls or anything. Emily thinks it will be bad if she ever truly falls. Ambria told her to tell Reda hi and she loves her.
Ambria told her she got the checkerboard belt. Emily said she thought she had already gotten one. Ambria told her she had bought it herself and would return that one. Emily said she thought she had already gotten it. Ambria told her that was another one.
Ambria told her finals are coming up. Emily asked what that’s like. Ambria told her they go to a class for 2 hours for a final. Emily asked if it’s over everything they’ve learned this semester. Emily asked which electives she’s taking. Ambria told her still French and health instead of PE. Emily asked if health is health class. Yes. Emily asked if she’s had health before. Yes. Emily asked which final she’s most nervous about. Ambria doesn’t know. Emily asked when the finals are. Ambria said the last week before the end of the semester.
Ambria said she wanted to go. Emily said she’s glad practice went well. She wished Ambria had done the bonding event. They ended the call at January 8, 2020 3:31 PM
