The call rang for a long time. Emily told Ambria good morning. She said she’s having a waffle. Ambria said she’s having cereal.
Emily asked what gifts she’s gotten now. She said she got another ring and that’s it. Emily asked how many rings she’s gotten. Ambria said 3. Emily asked about the house shoes. Yes. Has she worn them? Yes. Are they comfortable? Yes. Do they have the memory foam? Yes. They’re warm too.
Emily asked if she got her email yet. No. Emily said she was asking for a school picture this year. Emily asked if she got them. Ambria said she thinks she got a digital one. Emily wants to share it with Reda. Ambria said OK.
Ambria told her we’re going to see if our piercings are healed yet today. Emily asked if it’s been 4 months. Yes. Emily asked what kind she’s going to put in. Ambria doesn’t know. Emily showed her earrings. Ambria said Nana got her a lot of studs. Emily said she thought Ambria would get a lot from Nana.
Emily said it’s supposed to flurry tonight, mostly in the mountains. She doesn’t think they will see anything. Emily said it’s been raining the last couple of days. Ambria said it rained here last night and they forecasted snow in about a week. Ambria said they had forecasted it for Monday but changed it to rain. Ambria said it’s been really windy the last few days. Emily said she doesn’t like the wind because it makes it too cold. Ambria said it hasn’t been windy when she’s out. She said it was also pretty warm yesterday. Mid 50s. Emily said that’s not bad. Emily said it’s crazy that it got up to 70 a week ago.
Emily said she’s going to get her hair trimmed today. She has brushed it out to prep for that. She said Ambria’s hair is long too. Emily asked where her pineapple is. Ambria put it up in “one of those clippy things.”
Tomorrow her roller derby is doing a “team bonding” event. Emily said it sounded “intriguing.” She asked where they meet. Ambria doesn’t know yet. Emily said it sounds different. She doesn’t know what it will be like.
Emily asked if she starts back to school Monday. Yes. She asked what Ambria has been doing: video games and more cleaning? Yes. Did she finish cleaning her desk? Yes. Did she have a lot to throw away? No, just rearranging things.
Practice starts back this week. They have it on Tuesday instead of Monday this week. Emily asked if they still have it Wednesday? Yes. Emily asked if they have team photos made for that? Yes, next Sunday. They do pictures after all the games.
Ambria asked how Reda is. Emily asked if she put the sticker on her helmet. Yes. Reda is doing OK. Emily had to cancel her neuro appointment since she couldn’t take her. She’s hoping they will order more therapy, but it probably won’t be longer than 3 weeks. When she works her parts, she gets better, but when she starts back into therapy, she recovers some of her strength. Her arm isn’t doing much better. It’s not completely contracted, but (unintelligible).
Ambria said to tell her hi and she loves her. Ambria said she has to get off the phone. They ended the call at January 4, 2020 9:09 AM.
