Ambria called Emily at January 1, 2020 2:58 PM. Skype said she was unavailable. She tried again immediately at January 1, 2020 2:59 PM. That call also went unanswered, Skype saying she was unavailable.
Ambria realized her call is at 3:15 instead of 3:00. We waited to try again at 3pm.
Ambria called again at January 1, 2020 3:13 PM. Emily answered the call.
Emily asked what she’s doing. Ambria said not much. Emily asked what she’s been doing this week. Ambria told her she’s been doing some cleaning. Emily said it sounds like she’s staying busy.
Ambria said she’s also been playing games. Emily asked which ones besides Minecraft. Ambria told her Luigi’s Mansion. Emily asked if that’s her second favorite. No.
Emily told her it was 70 degrees on Sunday and now back to 40. Ambria told her it was a little warmer on Sunday but not that warm.
Emily said she’s glad Ambria is having a good break. Ambria told her she made gingerbread cookies. Emily asked how she keeps the dough fresh. Emily asked if she just puts it in an airtight container. Ambria guesses that’s how. She’s not going to ice hers.
Emily asked what mail she’s gotten. Ambria named the gifts she had gotten from Emily, including the beanie that came yesterday. She thanked her. Emily said she’s trying to keep track of everything. Emily asked if she’s tried the shirts yet. Yes. Do they fit? Yes.
Emily said Panda got an ugly Christmas sweater. It has bells on it, so she’s noisy when she moves. The cat got nothing but got a cat tree a couple of months back.
Ambria said she watched some of the ball drop yesterday. She said it was already over when she started. Emily asked why. Ambria started at 9pm here. She went back and watched some. Emily asked which one she watched. Ambria didn’t know but said people were talking about BTS. Emily was trying to stream it but ended up watching a lot of mariachi bands. Ambria said Post Malone was supposed to perform on the one she was watching. Emily said she heard about that one too.
Emily asked if it’s cold here. Ambria said it’s not as cold as it has been. She hasn’t been outside today. Emily said it’s supposed to rain heavy tomorrow and Friday. She said her yard floods.
Her plant isn’t doing well. It’s dry and crunchy. She thinks that’s not a good sign. She will keep Ambria up to date. Emily has high hopes for it. It says that, if you keep it in the pot, it dries out. She read the directions too late. She said it looks grumpy.
Ambria asked about Reda. Emily said she’s doing OK. No more issues she knows of. She thought Reda said she’s doing restorative therapy but Emily thinks she’s wrong. They had a stomach virus outbreak, but Reda has avoided it. They’ve started feeding them in their rooms. Ambria said to tell her hi and she loves her.
Emily asked if she goes back to school next Monday. Yes. Emily said she might get her room straightened up… and it might stay for a few minutes.
Ambria said she wants to go. They ended the call at January 1, 2020 3:23 PM.
