Ambria told her Benny and Lolly sent her a card. She showed it to Emily. Emily said she was waiting for the video to catch up. Then she saw the card and asked if Benny drew it. Ambria said yes. Ambria said they sent her $50. Ambria said Brenda sent her a card.
Emily said she’s going to pause the video and start it again. Emily said it was nice of Brenda to send a card. Ambria said she sent Brenda one too. Emily asked if she likes sending cards. Yes.
Emily asked how the movie was. Ambria said it was good. She asked if Emily would see it. Probably not. Ambria told her there’s a new droid they found on a really old ship. He looks like a hairdryer with a wheel. Emily said that’s funny. Ambria said it was good. Emily said she’s glad she had a good time.
Emily said she looks forward to seeing Cats. Taylor Swift is in it. Ambria said, “Really?”
Ambria told her she goes back to school a week from Monday. Emily said that’s a pretty long break. Emily asked what she’s going to do? Play her new game? Yes. She’s also been playing Minecraft. Emily asked if she still plays after 29 years. Yes.
Emily asked if she’s heard of Diamond Dots. No. Emily said it’s like paint by number but it’s on a canvas. Instead of paints, you use tiny diamonds you press down to make a design. Emily got a rainbow zebra. She said it’s calming to her. She drops the diamonds sometimes. Ambria said Reda got her a fish a few years ago. Emily said she figured she was “late to the game.”
Emily asked if she got board games. She said Tiffany got Scrabble. Emily said she likes that one and asked if Ambria did. Yes. Ambria told her she won the last game with a 90-point word. It was the word “Jeez” in the corner with the z on triple letter and triple word. Emily said that’s the way to win the game.
Ambria searched for something to say.
Ambria said she doesn’t have plans for this weekend.
Emily asked if she has to go this year skating. Ambria said she might skate in the parking lot.
Emily asked about her helmet sticker. She asked if Ambria has stickers on her helmet now and which ones. Ambria has 17 not counting her name. She has some from My Hero Academia, a 3-eyed cat, a pug inside a pineapple, Abraham Lincoln wearing a space helmet, a black rose, a sticker from her old team, and… that’s all she can remember. Emily asked if she needs more. Ambria said it’s covered up and she has to layer them. Ambria wants to make it like a collage. Emily asked if she has “Ambria” written on there. She says she has Atomic Amb. Emily asked if it has a bomb or dynamite next to it. That’s what the radioactive symbol is for.
Ambria asked her to tell Reda hi and she loves her. She said she wants to go. Emily said she will talk to her Wednesday. Emily said she hopes she gets to do “whatever it is she wants to do” with her remaining time off. They ended the call at December 28, 2019 9:09 AM.
