Emily did not answer Ambria’s first attempt. Skype said Emily was unavailable. Ambria tried again at December 18, 2019 3:14 PM. Emily answered this call.
Emily asked what Ambria is having for a snack. Ambria told her.
Emily asked if she is watching movies in her classes. Ambria told her they are in French class. Emily asked if it’s in the language or in the class. Ambria said both. Emily asked how she understands it. Ambria said you don’t.
Emily said she should be getting packages soon. Ambria told her she got her letter and two packages. Ambria asked if she should save them or open them. Emily said it’s up to her. Ambria said she opened the ones she has and told her what was in them. Emily asked if the shirt fits. Ambria said it does. Emily said she wonders why this extra small fits and the onesie pajamas didn’t. Ambria said it was weird.
Emily asked if she has worn the pajamas. Ambria said she’s been wearing the PJs. Emily asked if she gets hot. No.
Ambria said they had a vocab quiz today in history and a test tomorrow. Emily asked what the test is over. Ambria said they’re learning about treaties with native Americans. Emily asked if she likes history. Ambria said it’s OK.
In geometry, they started a new unit this week and got back their unit test from last unit. Ambria got 49/50. Emily asked if it’s hard. No.
Ambria told her they’re doing gymnastics in PE. Emily asked how it’s going. Ambria said it’s fun. Emily said she bets it’s hard for Ambria. No. Ambria told her about the equipment they have. Emily asked what other people do. Ambria told her they let other people play basketball if they don’t want to do gymnastics. Ambria said some people stack up the mats and try to jump over them. Other people do actual gymnastics. Emily asked if people watch her in disbelief. Ambria said they did the first day but not anymore. They had already seen her doing cartwheels. Emily said she’s glad Ambria found something she likes to do.
Ambria asked how Reda is. Emily said she’s “doing OK.” Emily said she’s using the bee as a pillow. Emily can’t think of anything negative going on. She’s trying to get her back into therapy. She goes back to the neurologist next month. She’s hoping he can redo the order for therapy and get her in for another 3-4 weeks. Emily showed Ambria what her hand is like. It’s not as “free-moving” as it was but “it could be a lot worse.” She has a brace she’s supposed to wear. She puts it on herself sometimes. Ambria said to tell her hi and she loves her.
Emily said she likes her necklace. She asked about Kit’s birthday party. Ambria corrected her that it was McKenzie. Emily asked if she just turned 15. Ambria said yes. Emily asked when the other friend birthdays are. Ambria told her the ones she knows.
Emily asked if everything is going well at school. Yes. Emily asked if she’s going to practice tonight. Ambria doesn’t have practice tonight. Emily said it’s good that she gets a break.
