It was a long time after Emily answered before she said hello. She said it took a while to connect.
Emily asked what Ambria was eating. Ambria told her a blueberry chia bagel.
Emily said she wants to show Ambria her thanksgiving cactus. She’s had it since May and didn’t kill it. She has 4 more that will bloom at some point. She said it’s a big deal for her and she’s really excited. Emily told about her process for getting water for it.
Emily asked how school went. Ambria told her they’re playing floor hockey in PE. Emily asked how it’s going. It’s pretty fun. They get to pick teams. They don’t keep score, but she still has fun. Emily asked if she’s had any issues with gym. No.
Emily told Ambria the dog has her sweater on.
Ambria told her she has roller derby practice tonight. Emily asked if Ambria had said she has a bout this coming weekend. Ambria said it’s next weekend.
Emily asked if the bagel has the chia seeds. Emily doesn’t like them and asked if Ambria does. Ambria is indifferent. She said she can’t really taste them.
Emily asked if her Trader Joe’s has any Whoville trees or some other kind of plants. Emily’s been trying to get one, but they keep selling out. It’s a poinsettia but curved like a candy cane. Emily tried to describe them, but I couldn’t understand. Emily asked Ambria to get one if she sees it.
Ambria told her they have their second French exam next Friday. Emily asked how the first one went. Ambria said she got 4/4 on all parts. Emily asked her what the test was like. Ambria described the quizzes because she doesn’t recall the exam. Emily asked if she still likes French And if it’s still one of her favorites. Ambria said she doesn’t know but she likes it.
Emily asked about physics. They’re having a quiz on magnetism Friday.
Emily asked if she saw her different friends and named a few of them. Ambria saw all of them except Ava who was out today. Emily asked if she has home room with any of them. Ambria doesn’t. She doesn’t know many people in her advisory. Emily asked if they had a good Thanksgiving. Ambria thinks so. Emily asked if she had a good one. Yes. Ambria asked her. Yes.
Ambria told her she got her nails done and showed them. Emily asked if it’s black. Ambria said it’s dark purple. Emily asked where she got them done. Ambria told her there’s a salon right under us. Emily asked if that’s the first time she’s had them done. No. Emily asked if she does them sometimes. Yes but she’s not good at it. Emily asked if they commented on her nails. Yes.
