Emily asked what Ambria is doing. Ambria said she just got home from school. Emily asked about school. Ambria said it’s good. Emily asked about Ambria’s Nashville research. Ambria told her some of the things she’s learned. Emily asked if she has to present it or just submit it as a report. Ambria isn’t sure if they’ll have to present it.
Emily asked about roller derby. Ambria said it’s been good. They had a scrimmage on Sunday. Emily asked how it went. Ambria told her it was good. Ambria said her team won by just a little, but they weren’t really keeping score.
Ambria told Emily they’re playing handball in PE. Emily asked how to play. Ambria said you use soccer goals and the basketball court. She described the rules. Emily said it sounds complicated. Ambria said it’s hard to count your steps while you’re trying to figure out what to do. Emily said she would ask to sit out.
Emily asked if she got any more birthday presents. Ambria told her about her gift from Kit – a Bakugo figure. Emily said that’s neat and thought it might have come from another country.
Emily said she went to Trader Joe’s. She said it was crowded. She got the free coffee. She asked if Ambria has tried their turkey-less turkey and vegan gravy. Ambria said she hadn’t. Emily tried a sample and liked it. She said she will let Ambria know how the gravy is.
Ambria said she’s been picking out things for McKenzie’s birthday. Emily asked when it is. Ambria thinks it’s the 27th but the party is this weekend. Emily asked what she’s doing. Ambria said it’s at her house. Emily tried to name the people who came to Ambria’s party. She started with McKenzie who hadn’t come. She knew Kit. She couldn’t come up with Ava. She tried to guess another but that was it. Ambria said so far, she’s gotten McKenzie a few different items. Emily said she’s sure she’ll like all of that.
Emily asked what Ambria had for lunch. Ambria said she had a sandwich and McKenzie’s granola bar. Emily said that was nice of her. Ambria said she probably poisoned it. Emily said, “I guess we’ll find out later.”
Ambira asked about Reda. Emily said she’s good. She took her some peanut M&Ms over the weekend. She said it took her a long time to eat. She said she hasn’t fallen any more. Ambria said to tell her hi and she loves her.
Emily asked if she has anything else coming up at school. Ambria said no. Then she remembered a French quiz on Friday. Emily asked what it’s over. Ambria said it’s over a story they read. Emily asked more questions to understand what the assignments are like. Ambria told her everything is in French. Emily asked if she had picked out a French name. Ambria said no.
