Emily said she looks warm and cozy. She asked if it’s a blanket or a sweater. Ambria told her it’s a blanket.
Emily asked what she’s doing today. Ambria said nothing really. She told her we might go to a night market. Emily said that sounds like fun.
Emily asked if she’d had breakfast. Yes. Emily asked what. Ambria told her cinnamon squares. Emily said she had cottage cheese and a sausage.
Emily asked if she’s been doing the city project in history. Yes. Emily asked how it went. Ambria said they haven’t started doing research on Nashville yet; they’re researching Seattle.
Ambria said she had a math test on Friday and made crepes in French class. Emily asked how it was. Ambria said it was fun. They got to put nutella on them after they cooked. Emily said she likes nutella crepes but she’s only had them a couple of times. Emily asked what they cooked them on. Ambria said it was “a crepe-maker thing.” Emily asked if it was one big one. Ambria said they each got one. Emily said it must have been a small one. Ambria showed her the size and Emily said they were pretty large.
Ambria said they did their first experiment for their magnet unit in Science. Emily asked what they did. Ambria described their test of what objects repel and attract. Emily said, “That sounds like fun.”
Emily asked about roller derby. Ambria told her it was good, and they have their first bout on 12/14. Emily asked who it’s against. Ambria told her it’s Marysville. Emily asked if she played them last year. Ambria said yes. Emily asked what they’re doing in practice. Ambria told her they worked on making sure they know where the jammer is and being able to move laterally in a wall. Emily said, “OK. How’d that work out for you?” Ambria said she thinks she did OK. Emily asked if the coach got over his concussion. Ambria said he’s better now. Emily asked if she’s over hers. Ambria said yes. Emily said not to be “falling down or tripping.”
Ambria said they have a vocab test in history on Monday. Emiy asked what terms. Ambria said they were about the economy and social classes.
Emily said she’s going to the mall today to do some shopping for Christmas. She said Garth Brooks is coming to Neyland Stadium for a concert. Emily said she didn’t understand why people would wait for that in the cold.
Ambria asked about Reda. Reda got “tangled up” transferring from the wheelchair to the bed although Emily hesitated to call it a fall. She’s a lot weaker than she has been. She’s very slow and not as steady as she has been. It’s hard for her to get stronger since they don’t do therapy with her and she doesn’t remember to do it herself. She said she didn’t get hurt. Ambria asked Emily to tell her hi and she loves her.
Ambria searched for something to say.
Emily asked when she will get new earrings. Ambria said she can’t take hers out until they are healed. She said she has two more pairs. Emily asked about them. Ambria told her she has starfish and Eiffel Towers. Emily asked what she prefers. Ambria isn’t sure, but she doesn’t want gold. Emily asked if there’s a certain material she needs them to be made from. Ambria said she doesn’t think so.
Ambria said she wants to go. Emily said she wishes her a good week at school. They ended the call at November 16, 2019 9:08 AM.
