Emily asked what she’s doing. Ambria told her she and McKenzie are about to go to the chocolate festival. Emily said that sounds like fun.
Emily asked Ambria to send her a photo of her entire outfit for Halloween. Ambria said she will if she has one. She said she will check.
Emily asked what Ambria is eating. Ambria told her oatmeal. Emily said she had some yesterday.
Emily asked what time the festival starts. Ambria told her it starts at 10am. Emily asked if it’s a long way. Ambria said she doesn’t know. Emily asked if she will take the bus. Ambria said yes.
Emily said her hair looks good and asked if she washed it last night. Ambria said she didn’t.
Emily asked about school. Ambria said it was good and told her they played Gatorball in PE. Ambria asked if she had told her about it. Ambria told her about the rules. It uses the rules of soccer but with some changes. Emily said it sounded confusing and Ambria agreed.
Emily asked if she likes 9th grade. Yes. Emily asked if it felt different. Yes. Emily asked what’s different. Ambria told her most people are more mature. Emily said when she was in 9th grade, Engilsh was her favorite subject, and she hated PE. Lunch was difficult for her. She didn’t have many friends. Other than that, it wasn’t too bad. The halls were crowded. It was different than what she was used to but wasn’t that bad.
Emily asked how her lunch time is. Ambria told her it’s good. Emily interjected that she was still making friends she would have through high school in 9th grade.
Ambria told her they had their big unit test on Friday. Emily asked how she did. Ambria thinks she did well. Emily asked if it was a lot of writing. Ambria said it was multiple choice.
Emily said it was 28 there last night. The dog was very casual when she went outside to use the bathroom. Emily said she’s going to have to get her to hurry up.
Ambria told her it has been nice the last few days here. She said it was raining earlier but it has stopped. Emily said it’s in the upper 40s and low 60s tomorrow. She said the leaves are starting to change. Ambria told her our leaves are falling off. Emily said the leaves on the hill going to her apt have all changed and the ones in the mountains have changed.
Emily said she looks bright eyed and asked if she’s excited. She asked about the festival. Ambria said she thinks they give samples but she’s not sure.
Ambria told her they’re starting a new unit in science. Emily asked if physics is something different. Ambria said that’s science. Emily asked about history. Ambria told her about the city search project they’re starting. Emily asked about French and whether she was learning new words or phrases. Ambria told her “I’m hungry” and said she knows some food. Emily asked her to say it, and she did. She told her fries, chocolate ice cream, and vanilla ice cream, along with a few others.
Emily said she tried vegetarian pulled pork. She said it was OK.
Ambria told her about their skit in French.
Emily said it sounds like school is going well and she isn’t having any issues. Ambria agreed.
Ambria asked Emily to tell Reda hello and she loves her. Ambria said she wanted to go. They ended the call at November 9, 2019 9:11 AM.
