Emily said, “Having more cereal again, I see?” Ambria said yes.
Emily asked Ambria to guess the weather the last few mornings. Ambria didn’t have a guess. Emily said it had been 40s warming to the 60s throughout the day. Emily said it seems colder than most years. Ambria told her it’s raining. Emily asked if she had anything planned. Ambria told her we’re going to the Punk Rock Flea Market. Emily said, “OK. That sounds like fun.” She said it’s supposed to rain later in the day there.
Emily said she tried some new almond milks. She asked if Ambria liked that. Ambria said she prefers it to coconut milk. Emily tried one with bananas in it and one with spicy chocolate. Ambria told her we get the one from Trader Joe’s. Emily said she likes their half-and-half and heavy cream.
Ambria told her she sent the link for the video. Emily said she watched it twice to make sure she understood everything. Emily asked what her character was. Emily asked if she was a moody teenager. Ambria said she was supposed to be a goth which is why she dressed the way she did. Emily said she dressed like Billie Eilish. Emily asked who he was. Ambria told about Dominick’s character and his obsession with Elvis Presley. Emily said she didn’t expect it to be like it was. She was surprised it was just Ambria and one other actor.
Emily asked if she was nervous. She told her she didn’t look or act nervous. Ambria said she was nervous at first when the audience walked in, but after some exercises, she wasn’t nervous. Emily asked how many small skits there were. Ambria told her. Emily asked if she had her lines in the book or memorized. Ambria said they were in the book but she had memorized them. Emily said she analyzed closely. Ambria asked how she did. Emily said she did “good.” She was surprised that she went to acting camp because that’s not Emily. She said she was very convincing. She noticed Ambria’s eye rolls.
Ambria told her the guy was Dominick. Emily asked if he goes to her school. Ambria said yes, and they used to play roller derby together until he graduated to the better team. Emily asked if she sees him at school and talks to him. Ambria said she does.
Emily told her good job and asked if she would continue. Ambria said she wanted to try out for the fall play but it came up too quickly. Emily asked if there’s one for spring. Ambria said there may be a winter play. Emily told about the plays at her high school. Emily said she thinks Ambria should go for it if that’s something she’s into. Ambria mentioned an upcoming musical. Emily asked if she likes musicals. Ambria said yes.
Emily asked if Ambria got her email yet. Ambria said no. Emily said she sent it Thursday. She asked Ambria the questions she had in the email on the call. She wanted to clarify which socks Ambria wants — colors, designs, and sizes. Emily asked if she wanted “critters and designs.” Emily asked what they were for. Ambria said they’re just to wear. Emily asked if she’s getting low. Some of the socks she wears have holes in them.
Emily said she did good at acting camp. She said she will show it to Reda.
Ambria told her she thinks she has a scrimmage tomorrow against the better team. Emily asked if she will get to jam. Ambria said maybe. Emily asked if she will have more confidence. Ambria said she thinks so. Emily asked if people will look up to her. Ambria said maybe.
Emily asked if she did anything different at school. Ambria said not much different.
Emily told her she should get the contacts for her costume on Monday.
Ambria said to tell Reda hi. Emily said she hopes the scrimmage goes well tomorrow. She said she will tell her what Reda says about the active video. They ended the call at October 19, 2019 9:11 AM.
