Emily said Ambria looks warm and snuggled up. She asked if it’s chilly. Ambria said a little but it will get warmer. Emily said night before last was 60 degrees where she is. It’s getting back up to the 90s. Ambria said that was really weird.
Emily asked if she told Ambria she got the cat a cat tree. Ambria remembered. Emily said she plays with it a bit more now. She told Ambria she gave the dog a bath this past week.
Ambria told her they had the family night at school on Thursday. Emily asked how it was. Ambria told her it was good. They told stuff about the first day. They told about the sports they could do and introduce them to teachers. She told about the student panel where seniors talked about their freshman years. Emily asked what the questions were. Ambria named a couple of them. She told her she got her free ORCA card. Emily asked what that is. Ambria told her it’s for riding the bus for free. Emily said that was neat. Emily asked if that lets her take the bus without paying the fee. Ambria said yes. Emily said she has her own card. Ambria told her she had one before but we had to put money on it. Emily asked if there are any limitations. Ambria told her it doesn’t. Emily asked how much a card usually costs. Ambria said she doesn’t know how much the card costs but you refill it when you need more money.
Ambria told her Wednesday is the first day. Emily asked what time it starts. Ambria told her 8:45. Emily said same as last year. Ambria told her 10 minutes earlier to start and finish. Ambria told her they get out at 2:20 on Wednesday now. Emily asked if they still get out early on Wednesday. Ambria said they do. Ambria said they told her that, on the first half day, it’s just 9th graders to get a tour to find classes and get their lockers. Emily said good. Ambria told her she got into French. Emily said good. Emily asked about PE. Ambria said she doesn’t know yet.
Emily told her there are a couple of skating rinks around there (within 30 minutes). Emily went skating for exercise. Ambria laughed and Emily asked what’s so funny. Ambria asked how it went. Emily said “it went good.” She said she didn’t fall. She’s “not no speed skater.” She said she worked some muscles she doesn’t normally work. She said a young guy was watching her and fell.
Ambria told her they have derby tryouts in a month. Emily asked if it’s the same team. Ambria told her it is. Emily asked if she’s in a different group. Ambria said they don’t really have those. Emily asked if she’s going to try for the same team again. Ambria said yes. Emily said to think about her when she’s trying out. She then said she shouldn’t because it would make her laugh.
Emily said she can’t run so she thinks skating might be good. Ambria agreed. Emily said she’ll get Ambria to help her skate.
Ambria said she wanted to go. Emily asked what time they would talk on Wednesday. Ambria said she doesn’t know. She said she will email. They ended the call at August 31, 2019 9:09 AM.
