Emily asked what Ambria is doing. Ambria said she’s getting ready for acting camp. Emily asked how it’s going. Ambria said good. Emily asked if anything different happened. Ambria said they got assigned to their scenes for the performance on Friday. She’s going to be Rachel in a thing called End Days. Ambria described it. Emily said, “huh.” Emily asked if she’s having fun. Ambria said she is. Emily asked if she has to memorize the lines. Ambria said they’re supposed to but they get to keep their script with them. Emily asked if Friday is the performance. Ambria said yes.
Emily said she has some knitting bags picked out that she will send for Ambria to look at. Emily asked the size of her needles. Ambria said she has different sizes and described a few of them.
Ambria asked if Emily got the letter. Emily said she got them Saturday. Emily asked if Ambria likes doing the origami and if they’re hard. Ambria likes them and some are hard to do.
Ambria asked if Emily would like to see some of her needle felting. Emily said yes. Ambria showed her the stars and the flowers she made. Emily said she likes them but likes the pink flower best. Ambria said she likes the purple and blue star.
Ambria said she needs to take pictures of them to put on her store. Emily asked if she’s going to do the store. Ambria said she hopes so. Emily said that will be good. Ambria agreed.
Ambria told her she found a cool denim jacket on eBay that’s really light. Emily said that’s neat and asked if she’s going to get it. Ambria said she found other things too but forgot what they are.
Emily asked if she will volunteer today after acting camp. Ambria said yes.
Emily asked if she starts school on the 4th. Ambria said yes.
Ambria told her the library at Madison was open yesterday and that she went to get her music video. Emily asked what she made on the music video. Ambria said she doesn’t remember. Emily asked her to refresh her memory on the music video. Ambria described the project. Emily asked what song she picked. Ambria said “Hear Me Calling.” Emily asked how it’s by. Ambria told her Juice World. She told her they had to pick the clean version. Emily said she’s glad Ambria was able to get it.
Emily commented on Ambria’s braids. Ambria reminded her it’s because it makes the hair curly. Emily said she takes it down before art camp, then corrected herself to acting camp.
Emily said it’s 81 there right now. Yesterday the heat index was 104. Ambria said the high here is 82 today and it’s about 70 right now.
Ambria asked about Reda. Emily said she went to the neurologist yesterday. They said she has more muscle strength on the left side. They want her to do more physical therapy. She’s getting weaker getting out of her chair. Her left hand is also getting weak. They don’t want it to become unusable, so they’re going to work it more 3x/week. They’re going to do another swallow test. If she can pass, she may be able to take her pills whole instead of crushed. She can swallow small pills fine but big ones choke her up. Emily doesn’t think she can pass it. Her stroke affected 3/4 lobes. Left-handed people strokes that affect the right side of the brain often lose speech but she got lucky and did not. Ambria asked her to tell Reda hi.
