Emily asked what Ambria’s having for breakfast. Ambria told her Trader Joe’s cheerios. Emily asked if she liked them. Ambria said she does.
Emily asked how her week was. Ambria said it was good. She told her she played some video games yesterday, did her laundry, and changed her sheets. Emily asked if we got the dryer fixed. Ambria told her we did.
Ambria thought for a while about what to say. Emily interrupted and asked questions about the bag Ambria wants for her knitting supplies. She asked if she wanted a small one she can put in a shelf. She said she had looked at a few but wasn’t sure what she needs. She said she’ll keep looking. Ambria thanked her.
Ambria asked about Reda. Emily said she went to a neurologist recently. Emily said she’s going twice a year. She figures they will tell her she’s about the same or a little different. Emily said she hasn’t been paranoid in a while but she thinks it might happen again. Ambria asked her to tell her hi and she loves her. Emily said she hasn’t had any more falls she’s aware of. Ambria told her she’s sending a letter soon.
Ambria said she started acting camp on Monday. Emily asked her to tell about it. Ambria told her it’s at the high school. She doesn’t know much about it. At the end, they’re going to do a performance. Emily said she didn’t know Ambria likes to act. Ambria shrugged. Emily said the camp will help her find out if she likes it. Ambria told her it’s the 5th through the 19th. Emily said that’s a long time. Ambria agreed. Emily said that should give her plenty of time to figure out if she likes it. Emily said it needs to be long enough to learn the parts. Emily asked if it’s for school credit. Ambria said it isn’t.
Ambria asked if she can reschedule her call time to 9am Wednesday since she won’t be able to make the regular time. Emily said she thinks it will be OK, but she will let her know if it doesn’t work. Ambria said she goes to the food bank after that. Emily said she’s glad Ambria still volunteers at the food bank.
Emily said the cat is sitting next to her. She played out an imaginary conversation with the cat and told Ambria she had a bath.
Ambria asked if Emily heard of needle felting. Emily said she hadn’t. Ambria explained. Emily asked if she’s going to do some. Ambria said yes and that she ordered a kit that will be here today. Emily asked if it’s one solid color. Ambria said it comes with a bunch of colors. Emily said she’s not envisioning it correctly. Ambria said she could look it up on YouTube.
Emily asked if she’d made the other projects. Ambria said she did. Emily asked about the giraffes and the avocado. Ambria said she thinks she messed up on the avocado because she had something left over.
Emily asked why she decided to sign up for art camp. Ambria corrected her and said it was acting camp. Ambria said she didn’t know; she thought it sounded like fun.
Ambria told her they posted the suggested supply list for school. Emily asked if that means they will need more. Ambria thinks so. She told Emily some of the things on the list. Emily asked about the calculator. Ambria thinks she can use the same one. Emily asked if she’s taking a math. Ambria said geometry. Emily asked if she’s already told her this. Ambria said she has. Emily asked about PE. Ambria said she has to take it for one semester. Emily asked if that’s once per year or for all of high school. Ambria said it’s once in high school. Emily said she had to take it every year.
Ambria said she wants to go. They ended the call at August 3, 2019 9:10 AM.
After the call, Ambria said she wondered what was wrong. I asked why. She said, at the end, her mom was getting all choked up. I told her I didn’t pick up on that.
