Emily emailed July 19, 2019 8:44 PM to ask if she could change the regular Saturday call time to noon. Ambria emailed back July 19, 2019 8:50 PM to say she couldn’t do noon but she could do July 21, 2019 10:00 AM. Emily emailed back July 20, 2019 6:00 AM to say that was fine.
Emily asked what Ambria is doing. Ambria said she just brushed her teeth. Emily said she just got done at “the movie.” Ambria asked which movie. Emily said she saw The Lion King in 3d. Ambria asked if it was good. Emily said it was very good. She said it followed the plot of the original except for a few parts. Emily started breaking up on the call. Ambria said cool.
Emily asked if she saw the original. Ambria said yes. Emily asked if she liked it. Ambria said she didn’t remember. Emily said she liked it when she was young.
Ambria told Emily we’re going to a play. Emily asked what kind. Ambria said it’s at Arts West, a small theater a few blocks away. Ambria told her the title of the play and Emily laughed. Ambria said she didn’t know anything about it but it’s supposed to be good. Emily said she will find out.
Emily said she had to put the cat on weight control. She said she also got her a cat tree that the cat hasn’t touched. She “shoved” her in the house, but the cat still won’t use it. Ambria laughed.
Ambria told her we went to the parade yesterday. Emily asked if we had to walk to get to it. Ambria told her we rode the bus to our old place because it was less crowded. Emily asked if it’s floats or just people walking. Ambria told her there were some floats and a lot of marching bands. Emily asked if they threw out candy. Ambria said yes and she got a lot of dum dums. Emily said they always throw those out. Ambria told her she has a lot of them.
Emily said she tried edamame spaghetti. She said it was good and has a lot of protein. She said it doesn’t taste like spaghetti but she likes it anyway. Ambria asked where she got it. Emily said she bought it at Costco and described how you make it. She said she put sauce and cheese on it.
Emily asked if we have anything fun planned for the coming week. Ambria said she doesn’t think so. Emily asked if she’s gotten to skate. Ambria said she hasn’t done any but has been going somewhere pretty much every day.
Emily asked if she has tried any new foods. Ambria told her about what she had yesterday at Agave. Emily said “that’s always exciting.” Emily told her she went to Trader Joe’s yesterday. She asked if Ambria said she gets a lot of stuff there. Emily asked about a few different chips to see if Ambria had tried them. Ambria hadn’t. Emily told her about a popcorn thing they have. Emily said she likes it. She said Ambria should try it if she likes popcorn.
Emily talked about her bad hair day.
Ambria told her it’s supposed to get really hot today. She told her the high is 85. Emily told her the heat index yesterday was 101 where she is. She said the dog was panting. Emily said it’s not as bad today: about 85. She said she’s not sure how much hotter it will get.
Emily asked if she’s been swimming. Ambria said there’s a pool but she hasn’t been yet. She wants to go with her friends. Emily said maybe she’ll get to.
Ambria asked Emily to tell Reda hi and she loves her. Emily said she hasn’t had any more falls or anything that she’s aware of.
Ambria said she wants to go. They ended the call at July 21, 2019 10:08 AM.
