Ambria called Emily. Emily asked what she’s doing. Ambria said she had breakfast. Emily asked what. Ambria told her hash browns and French toast. Emily commented on her closet lockers. Ambria told her we got them at IKEA.
Emily asked if she has fun plans. Ambria said she’s going shopping for her graduation dress. Emily asked what she’s getting. Ambria said she has no idea. She said she thinks she wants a white or black one. She said she would wait and see. She said tomorrow is the end of season roller derby party. Emily said that sounds like fun and asked about it. Ambria said Marination is catering it and they all bring desserts. Emily asked if they will be skating. Ambria said probably.
Emily asked if they still have 3 bouts. Ambria said yes and one is today. Emily asked if she’s not going to that one. Ambria said that’s right.
Ambria told her she didn’t go to school yesterday because she was still sick.
Ambria told her they’re giving out yearbooks at school Monday and Tuesday is the talent show. Emily asked if she’s in it. Ambria said she isn’t. Emily asked about signing yearbooks. Ambria said they do that. Emily asked her about what she will sign with. Ambria said a sharpie.
Ambria told her about the 8th grade cruise. Emily said that’s fancy. Ambria downplayed it and told her about it. Emily said that sounds like fun. Emily asked how long a boat ride it was. Ambria said she doesn’t know. Emily asked if she’s been on a boat. Ambria said she’s been on the water taxi. Emily asked about food. Ambria said they’re having pizza.
Ambria asked about Reda. Emily said she hasn’t started her therapy yet. Reda told her she’s reading a book. Emily said it’s surprising because she didn’t know Reda could still read for pleasure. She didn’t know she still understood it. Reda described the characters and said some of the pages fell out. Emily said that sounded promising. Ambria said to tell her hi and she loves her.
Ambria told her graduation on Wednesday and she has to make up her math final. On Thursday they have a history final. Emily said, “Oh no.” Emily asked if she can take a picture. Ambria said she would ask her dad. Ambria said they were going to practice on Wednesday morning. Emily asked if they’re doing anything special on Wednesday. She said MacKenzie is coming over to get ready together. Emily said she was excited about that.
Ambria searched for something to say. Emily asked about science. Ambria said when she left they were learning flash and Ambria described it to her.
Emily asked if that’s one of those chairs you sit in. Ambria said yes. Emily asked if it’s comfortable.
No one said anything for a while. Emily said she’s glad Ambria has a fun week coming up. Emily asked if she’s excited to graduate. She asked if she’s excited or nervous about high school. Ambria said she was pretty nervous but now is just kinda nervous. Emily described how she felt about it.
