Emily asked what Ambria is doing. She said she just got home. Emily asked how school was. Ambria said it was OK. Emily apologized for missing the call on Saturday and said she was out of service. Ambria told her it said she was unavailable. Emily asked about her necklace. Ambria showed it to her.
Ambria asked if she got the email (about being hit by the car). Emily asked her to tell more about it. Ambria struggled with what to say. She said she didn’t want to talk about it right now. Emily said that was fine.
Emily asked how school was today. Ambria told her they started working on their video project today on bullying. Emily said that was a good topic. Ambria told her they started a poster project in history. Emily asked about the topic. Ambria told her it’s the industrial revolution or the transportation and communication revolution. She and Kit picked the latter.
Ambria told her she just dropped her bagel on the floor. Emily asked if she’s going to eat it anyway. Ambria told her she is.
Ambria told her she got the skating donation. Emily asked how many laps. Ambria told her 215. Emily asked how she doubled it and suggested she might have attached rockets. Ambria explained how she kept a steady pace and sprinted at the end. Emily asked if she did the most. Ambria said the most was around 259. Ambria told her she got some new shoes. She showed them on the camera. Emily said she likes them and they are similar to the ones she has. She asked if they are exactly the same. Ambria said they’re a different brand. Ambria told her she got them for free and explained how. (A parent at roller derby gets the display shoes from a department store.) She was the only one who wore a 3.5. Emily asked if she has worn them. Ambria said she’s been wearing them this week.
Ambria said they’ve been having a math test this week. Ambria said she has to go in tomorrow to finish hers.
Ambria told her they have a bout this weekend. Emily said she just had one. Ambria said it was about 3 weeks ago, but it seems they just had it. Emily asked if it has a theme. Ambria said it probably does but she isn’t sure. Ambria told her in June they’re going to Canada for a bout. Emily said that would be interesting and it’s neat that she’s getting to do some traveling. Emily asked where. Ambria said it’s a small town.
Emily asked if she had finished the bagel. Emily asked if it’s a hawaiian bagel. Ambria said it’s a plain bagel.
Ambria told her we’re moving in a couple of weeks. Emily clarified if we’re physically moving. Ambria said yes, just a couple of blocks down the street. Emily asked if it will change anything about her school. Ambria said she’ll go to the same school but might ride the bus instead. Emily asked if it’s the school bus or the city bus. Ambria said the city bus. Emily said that would be fun.
Ambria told her mom McKenzie is going to Montana. Emily told her that is east and it’s really cold there.
Emily asked if Ambria will share her new address. Ambria said she would.
