Emily called Ambria on Skype. It rang for a long time before Emily picked up. Emily asked how she’s doing. Ambria said she just got home. Emily asked how school is. Ambria said it’s good. Emily asked if she did anything different. Ambria told her she hurt her wrist at practice and went to the doctor today. Emily asked if it’s a sprain. Emily said something. Her connection is terrible. It’s impossible to make out anything. The call keeps trying to reconnect. Emily said she had a call come in that interrupted the Skype call. Ambria told her the connection is bad. Emily said OK. She said something else unintelligible. Ambria asked what she said. Emily repeated, still unintelligible. Ambria said maybe she should call her on the phone. Emily said OK. They disconnected the Skype call. Ambria called Emily on the phone at 3:02 PM. Emily asked if she can hear her better. Ambria said she could. Emily asked for more information about Ambria’s wrist. Ambria told her she fell on it twice at practice and it still hurt this morning. They took an X-ray at the doctor and said it might be fractured. She has to go to a specialist to find out. Emily asked if it’s an orthopedic doctor. Ambria said yes. Emily repeated the question and Ambria repeated the answer. Emily asked which wrist. Ambria told her it’s the right one. Emily said, “Oh no!” Ambria said yeah. Emily asked if she went back to school. Ambria said yes. Emily said that meant it wasn’t excruciating. Ambria said that’s right. Emily said it’s in the upper 30s and she’s trying to get back into walking. Ambria told her it has been raining today. Not a lot but enough to be annoying. Emily said yesterday it was 19. Ambria said it’s not that cold here. Emily asked when her appointment is. Ambria said it’s supposed to be this week but we don’t know when yet. Emily asked how she landed. Ambria said backward. Emily said she caught herself on the wrist. Ambria said yes. Emily said she hopes it’s not fractured. Emily said something unintelligible. Ambria laughed. Ambria told her they started uploading their videos. Emily asked how that went. Ambria said she did hers wrong and has to do it again. Emily asked about English and math. Ambria told her about the persuasive essays for literacy night. Emily asked if she did literacy night last year. Emily asked if that was math night instead. Ambria said they do both. Ambria said they have a test in math on Friday and part of it on Monday on polynomials. Emily asked if it’s fun. Ambria said kinda. Emily asked about practice on Saturday. Ambria said no (she never does) and she doesn’t have it on Thursday either. Emily said she could rest up. Emily asked if she’s put anything on it. Ambria said they made a brace for her to wear. Emily asked if people helped her today. Ambria said no. She used her left hand. Ambria asked about Reda. Emily said she’s about the same. She was there Sunday for 3 hours. She sits in the dining room eating pork and stuffing, green beans, and tea. She eats really slowly. It’s hard to talk to her there. Every thing else is the same. No meaningful movement in her left arm yet. She’s still doing exercises. Ambria said to tell her hello and she loves her. Emily said she still has Ambria’s picture in her room. Ambria said she wants to go. They ended the call at 3:11 PM.
