Ambria called Emily. Emily asked what she’s up to. Ambria said she’s been playing games. Emily asked which ones, and Ambria told her. Emily asked how she’s doing on them. Ambria said good. Emily asked which is her favorite. Ambria said Stardew Valley. Emily said either that or Minecraft. Ambria added Splatoon. Emily said she thinks Ambria likes Splatoon the best. Ambria said she didn’t know. Emily asked if there’s still snow. Ambria said it’s mostly melted. Emily asked if things are back to normal. Ambria said yes. Emily said she looks well-rested. Ambria shook her head. Ambria asked about Reda. Emily said she’s having trouble with swallowing pills since she was used to taking them through the feeding tube. She said they have to crush them and put them in pudding. She’s in a program called restorative dieting. Emily said it takes her a long time and that she has lost 6 pounds. Emily said she saw her over the weekend and she doesn’t look terribly malnourished. Emily said she’s a little stronger. She can get up out of her wheelchair. She’s getting all her therapies again. Emily hopes things are “on the upswing.” Ambria said to tell her hi. Emily said she would and that Reda said hi and she loves her. Emily asked if Ambria has any big projects for school. Ambria said no. Emily said she had two weeks of break right after starting the semester. Ambria said the next break is spring break. Emily asked when that is. Ambria said April. Emily asked what the weather is like. Ambria said she doesn’t remember. Ambria said it’s getting warmer and the days are getting longer. They compared when the sun goes down in each place. Emily said it’s been raining a lot and they’re under a flood warning. Emily asked how many sunny days we have. Ambria said we have a lot in the summer. She said there are enough. Emily asked when summer starts, in terms of weather. Ambria said in the middle of June. Ambria looked outside and said it was bright out but overcast. Emily said it was gray and rainy there. Emily asked if she’s been to the skate park. Ambria said no. Emily asked about roller derby practice. Ambria said tomorrow’s practice is canceled, and they have a bout on Saturday. Emily asked about the theme. Ambria couldn’t remember. Emily asked about Harry Potter. Ambria said that was the last one, but it was special. Ambria asked about the pets. Emily gave an update on them. Emily said the cat smells like blankets. Ambria said except for her breath. Emily said Ambria should start a cat breath mint business. Ambria said they would probably spit it out. Ambria said she’s off tomorrow and Friday before she has to go back. Emily asked if she missed it. Ambria said no. Emily asked if she thinks she will graduate early. Ambria said she doesn’t know. Emily asked if her math is advanced. Ambria said it’s 9th grade math. Emily asked if it will count for high school. Emily asked if volleyball will be over since she’s been out. Ambria said they’re not doing volleyball. They’re doing gagaball. She said it probably won’t be over.
