Ambria called Emily. There was a long pause after Emily picked up. Emily asked what snack she is having. Emily said pretzels and hummus. Emily asked if they are pretzel crisps. Ambria said yes. Emily asked what flavor. Ambria said they are plain. Emily said she would show her the cat, but she doesn’t know where the cat is. Emily said she’s wearing a tutu. It belongs to the dogs, but the cat was chewing on it so Emily put it on her. Emily said she got the Thanksgiving photos and that Ambria looked really busy. They talked about what Ambria made and what she was busy doing in the photos. Emily asked about a salad. Ambria said she didn’t make a salad. Emily asked if Ambria has been lifting weights. Ambria said she does in the summer. Emily said she’s been doing something. Ambria told her what she lifts in the summer (10 pound dumbbells) and 25 on the weight machine. Emily said wow. Emily asked if she does during the school year. The call started having some problems. Ambria said she only does it during the summer. Emily asked if Ambria can hear her now. Ambria said she can. Emily said it was frozen for a second. Emily said something about wearing pajamas. Emily asked about school this week. Ambria said it’s good. She said she has a math test this week. She thinks she did well. Emily asked how many questions there were. Ambria thought about it and said there were 4 on the front and 4 on the back. Emily clarified there were 8 questions. She asked if she had to show a lot of work. Ambria told her the first few were exponential sequences. The next two were filling the equation from the graph or vice versa. On the back there were exponential word problems. Emily asked about the weather. Ambria told her it didn’t rain today and wasn’t very cold. Emily said on Monday it was in the high 50s. She said it was very nice weather considering it’s supposed to be colder in December. Emily asked about her scrimmage. Ambria said it was good and her team won. Emily asked who she was scrimmaging against. Ambria said it was mixed between the two groups to form two teams. Emily asked how they won against the older group. Ambria clarified again. Emily asked if she feels they are getting better as a team. Ambria said she thinks so. Emily asked if she’s getting more confident in her skills. Ambria said no. Emily asked what she feels like needs the most improvement. Ambria said her plows are good but she needs to get faster. Emily asked if she fell down. Ambria said someone tackled her on Sunday. She bruised her knee. Emily asked if they have to stop the game for her to skate off. Ambria told her they will stop the game if you fall and don’t get up. Ambria said she had gotten up and skated off. Emily said it was hurt more than she thought. Ambria said it wasn’t that bad. Emily said she hopes Ambria doesn’t have to wear a brace again. Ambria said yeah. Ambria said she wanted to go. Emily said she was able to get the ticket so she’ll see her on Saturday. Ambria said, “OK, see you then.”
