Ambria called Emily. Emily asked what she’s doing. Ambria said she’s been working on math homework. Emily asked if there was a lot. Ambria said not really and told her what it’s about. Emily asked about the derby bout. Ambria told her they lost by a little bit: 262 points. Emily said, “Oh, really? That seems like a lot.” Emily asked if she got to jam. Ambria said she didn’t. Emily asked why. Ambria said they were playing the really good jammers so they’d have a chance to win. Ambria told her she didn’t play a lot. Emily asked about her snack. Ambria told her it is crackers and snickerdoodle hummus. Emily told Ambria they had an earthquake this morning. Emily said she didn’t feel it but it was a “bit to-do.” Ambria told her we had one at around 6:30 AM. Emily asked if she felt it. Ambria said she didn’t but she heard it. Emily said she didn’t hear or feel anything. Emily said the cat she was feeding either left, died, or was adopted and wasn’t coming around anymore. She said more have started coming around. She said she tried to chase one down but it ran from her. She said she can’t adopt the cats if they don’t come to her. Ambria said Chester is gone. Emily asked if he died. Ambria said they would have said something. Emily asked if his cage is there. Ambria said it isn’t. Emily said maybe someone took him home and didn’t bring him back. Emily asked if they will get another class pet. Ambria said they have fish. Emily said you can’t pet fish; she has tried. Emily shared with other silly class pet ideas like snake, hedgehog, and tarantula. Ambria told her she held a snake one time. Emily asked what it did. Ambria said she didn’t remember. She told her about putting it around her neck. Emily asked what she thought. Ambria said it was weird. Ambria told her she saw a huge yellow snake on the same trip. Ambria guessed it was a corn snake. Emily said she knows there is a corn snake but isn’t sure what color they are. Ambria told her about her grade on the math test retake. She told her it brought her math grade up to an A. Emily asked how the retake counts. Ambria said she doesn’t know. Emily said the new grade sounds good and tried to guess what the grade abbreviations stand for. Emily asked about the weather. Ambria said it has only rained one day this week. Emily said it’s in the low 40s there. Emily struggled to remember a question she wanted to ask about Christmas gifts. Emily asked if Ambria has anything else. Ambria said she’s been working on it.
