Ambria called Emily on Skype. It said she was not online. She tried again immediately at 8:59 AM. Skype again said she isn’t offline. Emily called her back. She said it wasn’t ringing on her end so she had to call back. Emily noticed Ambria’s santa hat. Dogs started barking loudly on Emily’s side. Emily waited for them to finish. Emily asked how thanksgiving turned out. Ambria said she got everything made on time. Emily asked how it was. Ambria said it was good. Emily asked her favorite thing. Ambria said corn pudding or rolls. Emily asked how much turkey she had. A dog growled. Ambria said she had a 10-pound turkey and she ate… she’s not sure how much. Emily asked about her pie. Ambria said she cut up her other pie crust and used it for the top of the pie. She described how she did it. Emily asked Ambria to hold while she did something with her dog. Ambria told Emily her video isn’t on, but Emily didn’t respond. She asked if Ambria could hear her now. Emily turned the camera on and showed Ambria the dog. Emily said she could send Emily a list for Christmas to add to the birthday list. Ambria said OK. Emily asked about other pictures or videos of the cooking process. Ambria said she got some but hasn’t sent them yet. Ambria told her what pictures she took. (My mom actually took the pictures.) Emily asked how many other meals she has eaten out of the Thanksgiving meal. Ambria told her two. Emily asked if it was good. Ambria said it was. Emily asked if she goes back to school on Monday. Ambria said yes. Emily asked if she’s ready. Ambria said she isn’t. Ambria told her mom she has to give McKenzie her birthday present on Monday. Emily asked what she got her. Ambria listed out the gifts she got. Emily asked if she likes the bath bombs and if Ambria likes them. Ambria said yes to both. Emily talked about the dog and her sweaters. Ambria giggled. Ambria said we’re going to university village today for an iPad art class. Emily said OK. Ambria said it’s using the iPad and the pencil. Emily said that should be fun. She said something and then something happened to the call. Emily asked Ambria to repeat what she had just said. Ambria repeated the information about the class. Ambria laughed about something that happened on the call. Emily said it was like holding a snake. Ambria told her we went to a Christmas parade. Emily said, Oh, really? Emily asked about the weather. Ambria told her it’s about 40. Emily said that was the temperature there too. Ambria said she wants to go. Emily asked Ambria to send her the pictures of her cooking. They ended the call at 9:10 AM.
