Ambria called Emily. Emily asked about Ambria having her blanket on and asked if it’s chilly. Ambria said a little. Emily said it’s about 40 there. Emily asked if she’s wearing a bun or something else. Ambria said a bun. Emily asked about the math test. Ambria said she thinks she did “pretty good.” Ambria asked about Reda. Emily said she’s about the same. She said she wants to whisper and doesn’t seem to know she’s whispering. You have to ask her to speak up. Emily thinks she’s lost some vision on the left side. She has left side neglect. She doesn’t see out of the left eye. Emily thinks there may be some swelling or bleeding around the left optic nerve. (That doesn’t come from an actual diagnosis; that’s Emily’s diagnosis.) Emily said she still has the tube in until the flu/cold season is over. Ambria said she got her vocabulary test back from a few weeks back. She got 23/25. Emily said that’s good. She asked if Ambria has to use them in a sentence or just know the definitions. Ambria said they have to spell them and fill in some blanks in sentences with the words. She also had to do passive vs. active voice. Emily asked for an example of that. Ambria struggled to come up with one and did. Emily asked for active voice, and Ambria came up with it right away. Ambria said she got back her science quiz and packet. She got 10/10 on the quiz and 49/51 on the packet. Emily asked if she’s done any more experiments. Ambria said not now; they are talking about the periodic table. Emily said she likes it. Ambria said they have to memorize some of them but she only knew two. Emily asked if she likes to memorize. Ambria said it depends on what. Emily asked if Ambria will bake this weekend. Ambria said she might tomorrow but she still has cookies left over. Emily asked if the pumpkin pie was good. Ambria said yes. Emily asked if it was gone yet. Ambria said no. Emily asked if she had a lid. Ambria said no. Emily asked about derby. Ambria said they had a one hour practice on Thursday and told her about some of the exercises. She told about the race where they had to get up off the ground. Emily thought they were going to be jumping over people. She asked how Ambria did. Ambria said bad. Emily asked what that does, improve your efficiency when you fall? Ambria said yes. Emily asked if you just get up during a bout if you fall. Ambria said yes. Emily asked if she’s been jammer. Ambria said they haven’t scrimmaged. Emily asked how many people are on her team compared to last year. Ambria said it’s about the same. Emily asked if there were only two boys. Ambria said yes.
