10/27/2018 8:55 AM- We were prepping for a call with Emily in 5 minutes when we got a message from her asking if Ambria would call her at 9:30 AM instead of 9:00. Ambria agreed.
9:28 AM- Ambria called her mom. Her mom thanked her for calling at a different time. Ambria just smiled at her. Emily asked what she’s been doing. She said she’s been cleaning her room and getting ready for her part. Emily asked when it starts. Ambria told her 3. Emily asked if she’s excited. Ambria said yes. Emily asked about the cake. Ambria said she’s making it today and has already made the fondant. She told her mom the colors. Emily asked if she has all the ingredients. Ambria said yes. Emily asked if she’d gotten any early presents. Ambria said she got the iTunes gift card from her mom. She said she had gotten all her presents from Nana and Poppy but hasn’t opened them yet. She said she got a check and some money and her skateboard. Emily asked what she’s going to do with the check. Ambria said she’ll probably save it. Emily said that sounds like a good plan. Emily asked about her eye appointment. Ambria said it was good. She told her they gave us a folder of resources and clinical trials. Her mom said OK. She asked what the clinical trials are for. Cell regeneration? Emily said she’d read up on some of the clinical trials. Emily asked if she’s interested in doing that. Ambria said she probably will. Emily asked what it entails. Emily asked if she’s supposed to follow up in a few months. Ambria said she doesn’t know. Emily asked about school. Ambria said it’s good. She filled Chester’s water on Thursday. Emily asked if he started “hootin’ and hollerin’.” Emily said she’s sure he appreciated that. Ambria said she probably filled it wrong. Emily asked why. She said she doesn’t know how. Emily asked what she will buy with her iTunes card. Ambria said she doesn’t know. Emily said there are tons and tons of options. Ambria told her they have a scrimmage tomorrow against a team from up north. Emily asked if it’s north Seattle. Ambria said it’s past Seattle. Emily asked if she’s actually on a team or if she hasn’t been placed. Ambria said she’s on a team. Emily asked the name. Ambria said Alliance. Emily asked “It’s for girls ages…?” Ambria said it’s co-ed but there are only 2 boys. She said she thinks the oldest is 16. Emily asked if the boys are rough. Ambria said no and they are always being yelled at to get lower. Emily asked about that. Ambria explained why you need to get low. Emily asked how many people are coming to the party. Ambria said 2 have RSVPed. Emily asked what they are going to do. Ambria said they’re going to play games, eat pizza, and eat cake. Emily said that sounds like a plan.
