Ambria called Emily. Emily asked if that’s what she wore to school today. Ambria said no, but she changed out of it. Emily asked if it’s hot. Ambria said it’s about 75. Emily asked if she walked to day. Ambria said she did and had to carry a bunch of stuff. Emily asked what. Ambria listed it out for her. Ambria said she had to carry the stuff back because her lock wouldn’t open on her locker. Emily asked if she met MacKenzie at the tree. Ambria said they got there at the same time and met in front of the school. Emily asked if they caught up. Ambria said yes, and they found all their other friends. Emily asked if Ambria did anything fun before school started. Ambria said she went to the beach yesterday. Emily asked if her friends went. Ambria told her they were both web leaders. Emily asked if that’s something Ambria wanted to do. Ambria said yes; she applied but didn’t get it. She told Emily about the interview. She couldn’t recall all the questions. She said there was an ice-breaker question and a question about role models. Emily asked what she had for lunch. Emily asked what she had for lunch. Ambria said she had a sandwich. Emily asked if she brought it from home. Ambria said she didn’t. Ambria told her about their schedule tomorrow. Emily said advisory was 1st thing, right? Ambria said it isn’t. They traded rapid-fire questions and answers about the school day. Emily asked why she didn’t report 7 grades last year since there are 7 periods in the day. Emily asked if she made an A in PE. Ambria said she did. Emily asked if they have to take it every year. Ambria said yes. Emily said it’s coming around again then. Ambria said yes, but she might get a schedule change to be in French. Ambria told her her current electives. Emily asked how long TA is. Ambria said it’s a period. Emily asked if she’ll be working with a 7th grade class. Emily asked about her big math class. Ambria told her it’s Algebra 1. Emily asked about lunch. Ambria told her about it. Emily said she’s glad Ambria’s first day “went really really well.” Emily said she thought of her today and thought about the different times she was doing various things. Ambria said she eats at 12:20. Emily asked if she eats breakfast at home. Ambria said she does. Emily said that’s “probably better for (her) anyway.” Ambria said she wants to go.
