Ambria called Emily. Emily asked how she feels today. Pretty good? Ambria said yes. Emily asked if she has plans today. Ambria said we’re going to Bainbridge Island. Emily asked if it’s close. Ambria said we are taking a water taxi and a ferry. Emily asked if she has done any skateboarding. Ambria said she hasn’t. Emily asked if she has any classes with her friends. Ambria told her they get their schedule on the first day of school. Emily asked if the first day is a full day. Ambria said she thinks so. Emily asked what she’s been eating for lunch. Ambria told her she had a turkey and cheese crepe yesterday. Emily asked what that is. Ambria described it. Emily asked if it was hot or cold. Ambria told her it was hot. Emily said yesterday she had a BLT using some kind of veggie bacon and said it was pretty good. Emily asked if Ambria likes that brand. Ambria said she doesn’t know. Emily said she likes this brand better. Ambria told her we were in Redmond yesterday. Emily asked what she did there. Ambria told her about the chalk festival in the town center. Emily said, “So you just watched them do the drawings?” Ambria said yes. Emily said it was really interesting to watch people do intricate chalk art. Ambria told her some other things about the town center. Emily asked if that’s her favorite place. Ambria said she’s not sure. Emily said, “There’s always something new to see or explore. That’s always fun.” She asked if Ambria had breakfast. Ambria told her what she had. Emily said it “sounds like a pretty good breakfast.” Emily asked her favorite jam flavor. Ambria said grape. Emily said she would have guessed strawberry. Ambria told her we are leaving right after this to go to the water taxi. Emily said it sounds like she’s going to spend the day there and that would be fun. Emily asked about the weather. Ambria said it looks like it’s going to be nice. Emily said it’s supposed to rain there this weekend. Emily talked about her plants and getting them into the rain for water. Ambria told her about her pepper plant getting its first pepper. Emily went silent. Ambria said “What?” She said, “Did you must yourself? I can’t hear anything.” She then said, “I can’t hear you.” Still no audio from Emily. She kept looking at her and smiling. Still no sound. Ambria said, “Still can’t hear you.” Ambria handed the phone back to me and said, “I think she ended the call.” I asked Ambria what she wanted to do. She said she wants to go soon and would like to just send Emily a message via Skype. Ambria’s message said she wasn’t sure what happened and would talk to her on Wednesday. Emily called back on Skype. Ambria said she had sent the message and was about to leave. They said goodbye. They ended the call at 9:09 AM.
