Ambria called Emily. Emily asked what she’s doing. Ambria said she just finished playing Stardew Valley. Emily said, “you like that one, don’t you?” Ambria said she did. Emily asked how long she’d been playing it. Ambria said, “How many years?” Emily thought she said “many years.” Ambria said she’d played it for about two years. Ambria told her what she’s done today. Emily asked if Ambria said she’d tried banh mi. Ambria said yes. Emily said she tried it recently and didn’t care for it. Ambria told her the banh mi across the street is really good. Emily said the bread was her favorite part. Ambria asked how Reda is. Emily said she’s doing pretty well and has started some therapy. Ambria asked what therapy she’s doing. Emily said she’s doing speech therapy and therapy to help her swallow. She said she’s working her arms and legs since one side doesn’t work, getting them strong. Ambria asked if she’s still whispering. Emily said she’s doing exercises to focus on different sounds. Ambria asked if she’s still visiting every day. Emily apparently nodded. Ambria said good. Emily said she got her letter where she told about what she had done recently and wanted to read it (?). Ambria told Emily about the Subpop Records anniversary party on the beach on Saturday. Emily said she hadn’t heard of Subpop and that it sounds like there are a lot of cool things to do at the beach. Emily asked about volunteering. Ambria said we haven’t gone in a few weeks but we are going to the volunteer appreciation party soon. Emily asked if she can do the same volunteer work next year. Emily asked about skateboarding. Ambria told her about her last trip to the park and what she had done there. (Tiffany took her but Ambria didn’t mention this.) Ambria talked about how hard it is to go down the ramps. Emily said she never did, probably could but didn’t. Ambria said she’s been checking for the supplies list for school but they haven’t posted it. Emily said she was going to ask that and to let her know. Ambria said we’re going to go shopping at Staples for some school supplies. Emily asked if that’s close. Ambria said yes, and that it’s near the Target. Emily asked if she needed anything special for math. Ambria said she may need a graphing calculator for algebra. Emily said it will be fun, that she enjoyed it but it isn’t for her. Ambria told Emily about the art thing on Monday. Emily asked what art thing. Ambria told her about it and the one she went to last week. Ambria ended the call at 3:09 PM.
