Ambria called Emily on Skype. The call rang for about a minute with no answer. Skype gave the message that Emily is unavailable. She answered the second attempt. She asked what Ambria is doing. Ambria told her she’d been sewing. She couldn’t hear because she is apparently outside. The wind is blowing into her microphone. She asked again what Ambria has been doing. Ambria told her about going to the beach with the Moons. Emily asked if she had fun. Ambria said she did and told her about what they did. Emily asked if they made sand castles. Ambria said no, but they dug a lot and buried each other. Ambria asked how Reda is. Emily said she’s about the same. Emily said she got the fragile card Ambria sent and that it was OK. Ambria said she sent another one. Emily asked her some questions about it to see if it was one she had received. Ambria said she had sent another one too. Emily says she doesn’t think she has received that one. Emily asked what book Ambria has been reading. Ambria said she’s been reading sewing books. Emily is having trouble hearing her again because of the wind. She asked several times for Ambria to repeat and said her phone went black. Ambria told her she started sewing a skirt. Emily asked if she sews by hand or with a machine. Ambria said by hand. Emily said she sewed a pig pillow in 8th grade. Emily said that was in home economics class and asked if they still have it. Ambria said she doesn’t think so but wishes they did so she could learn cooking at school. Emily told about some food she had made in home economics. Emily asked if she’s using a pattern for the skirt. Ambria said she’s making them out of an old pair of jeans. They talked about the process she’s using. Ambria told Emily she made sugar cookies. Emily asked if she put frosting on them. Ambria said she put her apple butter on them and used the leftover s’mores supplies to make s’mores cookies. Emily complimented Ambria’s baking. Ambria told her she’s making a bag from an old sweatshirt. Emily asked if she’s been to the skate park. Ambria said not yet and that she’s been doing other stuff. She said she’s been playing a lot of Splatoon 2. Emily said she’s glad Ambria really likes the game. Emily asked if she’s far into the levels. Ambria told her how far she is. Emily asked if Ambria thinks she would like it. Ambria said it’s fun once you get the hang of it. Emily said getting the hang of it would be the problem. Ambria said the controls are pretty easy. Ambria told her about Splatoon and Splatoon 2. Emily asked what Wii games she has. Ambria said she doesn’t have Wii anymore and has the Switch instead. Emily asked her plans for this week. Ambria said she has forgotten her plans. Emily asked how the pirate landing was. Ambria said it was fun. She got to get in the water. Ambria said she wanted to go. She ended the call at 3:10 PM.
