Ambria called Emily. Emily asked what she is doing. Ambria said she is playing solitaire. Emily asked if she is playing with cards. The call then disconnected. Ambria called back. Emily told her it was her fault and that she had ended the call by mistake. She asked again about the cards. Ambria said she’s playing it with cards. Emily said she has tried it but hasn’t had much luck. Ambria said she has won the last two games in a row. Emily asked what Ambria has been doing this week. Ambria said she made some bread. Emily asked what kind. Ambria said poppyseed. Emily asked what she puts on it. Ambria said she puts apple butter on it. Ambria said she had some after her cereal. Emily asked what kind of cereal. Ambria said Golden Grahams. Ambria asked if Emily had received her package. Emily said it arrived but she hasn’t been home to get it yet. Emily asked if Ambria’s doing anything for the 4th. Ambria said we’re going to a park for a festival and to watch fireworks over the lake. Emily said, “That works.” Ambria told her she played some Splatoon 2. Emily asked if that’s her favorite game. Ambria said it’s one of them. Emily asked what other books she’s been reading for the summer. Ambria: Love and Luck, Alex Approximately, and Positively Izzy. Emily said that’s pretty good if she’s read all of those in one week. Ambria said it may be in the last two weeks. Emily asked if she got to go swimming or to the skate park yet. Ambria said no, but she went to the beach on Sunday. Emily asked what they did. Ambria told her they had played in the sand. Ambria told her they saw a seagull eating a crab. Ambria told her they got in the water up to their knees. Emily asked if it was cold or warm. Ambria said it was cold. Emily said, “You don’t mind, do you?” Ambria said she doesn’t. There is wind blowing in the phone’s microphone. Ambria told Emily she’s going to a skateboard camp. Emily asked what she’ll be doing. Emily asked what she’s going to be doing there and if she would be “practicing her roller derby stuff.” Ambria clarified it was for skateboarding. Emily had some trouble hearing and Ambria had to repeat several times before she understood. Emily asked if she wants to be a skateboarder. Ambria said maybe. She told her mom Lauren is going to basketball camp. Emily asked if Ambria is going. She said she isn’t. Emily asked about bicycling. Ambria said she hasn’t yet but she wants to. She’ll need to pump her tires. Ambria told her mom about playing Just Dance. The wind was blowing, so Emily didn’t hear. Ambria repeated, and Emily asked if that was fun. Emily asked if Ambria heard back on her doctor appointment. Ambria told her it came back normal. Emily said that made her feel better. Ambria said she wanted to go. They ended the call at 3:10 PM.
