Ambria tried calling Emily after getting home from the day’s activities. Ambria told her she just ate dinner. Emily asked what she had. Ambria said she had a veggie burger and some potatoes. Emily said she’d had a falafel burger yesterday. Emily asked about Jasmine’s birthday party. Ambria said she got one strike and a bunch of spares. Emily said she likes to bowl but isn’t very good at it. She said she likes to practice but isn’t sure what for. Emily said she guessed Ambria has practice tomorrow. Ambria told her she doesn’t because it’s mother’s day. Ambria told Emily about the West Seattle Community Garage Sale. Emily asked if she got anything or just looked. Emily asked if Ambria had been to library lately. Ambria said she hadn’t but has gotten several books from little libraries in people’s yards. Emily asked if it was in a specific area. Ambria said they are scattered around. Emily told about going to a zoo and petting llamas, goats, and kangaroos. She said the kangaroos didn’t hop like she expected but they were very soft. Emily asked about school. Ambria said they got a review packet for the math test. Emily asked if it was like the language arts test. Ambria said yes. Emily asked if she’s being tested on 8th grade math. Ambria said she has to test on 7th grade math even though she’s taking 8th grade math this year. Emily said it’s 90 degrees today in Knoxville. Ambria told her it’s about 70 here. Ambria asked about the pets. Emily said Panda is sitting on her lap. She said she doesn’t know where the cat is. Ambria started thinking of what to say next. Emily asked if she had practice on Friday. Ambria said no. Emily asked about the next practice. Ambria said it’s Friday and it will be the last practice. She said both teams will practice together. Emily asked if she likes those practices better. Ambria said she prefers practice with just her team because she gets to work on team strategy and they have more time since there’s no scrimmage. Emily asked if Ambria has the results from her language arts test. Ambria said she doesn’t. Ambria told Emily about the squishy she got in the goodie bag from Jasmine’s party. She showed Emily the cat squishy. Emily said she should name it. Ambria said Snowball. Emily said that’s what she was thinking. Emily asked what she has planned for the evening. Ambria said she isn’t sure. Maybe some video games. She told her we’re going to the beach tomorrow. Emily asked how far the beach is. Ambria said about 2 miles. Emily asked what else she got in the goodie bag. Ambria showed her a few of the items. Ambria ended the call at 5:45 PM.
