4/14/2018 8:58 AM- We put off plans to go eat breakfast with my parents to be available for Ambria’s call. Ambria called Emily. Skype said Emily was not online.
She tried again at 8:59 AM. Skype then said Emily was not available.
At 9:03, Emily sent a message via Skype asking Ambria to give her about 3 minutes and she would call Ambria back. That call came at 9:07. Emily asked what Ambria had done for the rest of her break. Ambria told her we went to Tacoma and went to IKEA. Ambria told her about the restaurant and the Swedish meatballs. Emily asked how far Tacoma is. Ambria told her it’s about half an hour by car. Emily asked if we took a car or rode the bus. Ambria said we took a car. Emily asked what else we did at IKEA. Ambria said we ate lunch and looked around at the furniture there. Emily asked if she added anything to her wishlist. Ambria said she doesn’t have a lot of room for more furniture. Ambria told her about the bunk beds and loft beds. Emily asked if she wanted one of those and Ambria said yes. Emily said she wouldn’t like having to get down every morning. Ambria told her she used to have bunk beds and she would sometimes jump off the top and land on the bottom if she didn’t want to climb down the ladder. Ambria told her we’re going to the pool today. Emily asked about the weather here. Ambria said it’s in the upper 40s. Emily said it’s 70 there. Ambria said the pool is an indoor pool. Emily said she wished there was an indoor pool near her. Ambria talked about the tricks she can do in the pool. Ambria told Emily she has roller derby practice tomorrow. Ambria said she had told her mom wrong about the upcoming bout: it’s next weekend instead of this weekend. She said last week at the scrimmage, they had to split teams because several of her teammates were missing. Emily asked if they are still doing sprints. Ambria said yes. Emily asked if she tried to talk to Reda this morning. Ambria said no. Emily asked if she’s tried to call and Reda didn’t answer. Emily talked about the issues Reda has had taking the Skype calls. She asked if it has worked the last few times, and Ambria said it has. Emily asked if Ambria is ready for school. Ambria said no. Emily asked if Ambria likes Tacoma. Ambria said kinda. She said it reminds her of Knoxville. Ambria said she wanted to go to get ready to go to the pool. They ended the call at 9:17 AM.
