Ambria called Emily. Emily asked what she had been doing, and Ambria told her she was reading a Minecraft book. Ambria asked what her pets were doing. Emily said she is going to have to give the dog a bath again. Emily asked about roller derby practice. Ambria told her they practiced reforming walls. Emily said, “Do you like doing stuff like that?” Ambria said she does. Emily asked if it’s hard to put that into practice during games. Ambria said sometimes. Emily asked if Ambria has had breakfast yet. Ambria said she had not. Ambria told Emily about the roller derby pool party on Sunday. Ambria said she has played some Minecraft this week. She described what she was doing in the game. Emily asked if she would have trouble not playing it now that she’s starting school again. Ambria said she would not. Emily asked why she picked to play it over other games. Ambria said it is still her favorite game. Emily asked if Ambria has plans for the weekend. Ambria said she doesn’t yet. Ambria said she didn’t do a lot this week. Then, she remembered going to the cat cafe. She asked Emily if she had told her about going to the cat cafe. Emily said, “No.” Ambria told her about it again. (She had actually told her about it on the previous call.) Emily asked what you do if the cats try to steal your food. Ambria said they don’t do that. She told about a cat who tries to escape when the door opens. She said they were all wearing bow ties. Emily said that is cute. Emily suggested she should get her cat a bow tie but said she would hate it. Ambria said she used to put her doll clothes on Panda and she hated it. She described the doll clothes she put on Panda and how she would put them on. Emily said she used to buy her dog panda guinea pig outfits. (Emily named the cat Panda, abandoned her and Ambria, and got a new pet — a dog — naming it Panda too.) Ambria told her she has to go back to school on Monday. Emily asked if she is ready. Ambria said she is. Emily told how she felt about school and breaks. Ambria told Emily about her workout yesterday. She held a plank for one minute. Emily said she probably can’t hold one for one second. Emily asked if she’s still lifting the weights. Ambria said she only goes when she’s on break. Emily said she has PE starting again. Ambria said they go to the weight room on Tuesday and Wednesday. Emily joked about that. Ambria explained they have big machines they have to learn to use. Ambria said they also have a climbing wall they have to climb across. Emily asked if she likes to do that. Ambria said she does. Ambria said she wanted to go to eat breakfast. Emily told her to have fun at school and that she would talk to her on Wednesday. They ended the call at 9:09 AM.
