Ambria called her mom. Ambria told her about a math quiz on Friday about right triangles. Emily asked what that is and Ambria explained it to her. Emily asked if she is going to community service. Ambria said yes. Emily asked about roller derby practice and the birthday party. Ambria told her both of them were good and that she had made slime at the party. Emily asked about PE class. Ambria told her they’d been doing hockey and the weight room. She told her mom about the climbing wall in the weight room. Emily asked about the other elective class. Ambria told her about SketchUp. Emily asked if she likes it. Ambria said it’s fun. Emily told Ambria about the rain and flooding they’ve been having. She said a school had been closed because of it. Ambria said it hasn’t rained here in a while. Emily asked about lunch. Ambria told her she had pizza today. Ambria told her mom she worked on a poster about natural selection in science featuring the five stages. Emily asked what they are, and Ambria listed them. Emily asked what Ambria did. She told her they each made a poster. Emily asked about their historical person. Ambria said they did some more research in class but that it’s mostly outside of class. Emily asked if she has homework. Ambria said she has to write a summary of a book they’ve read. She said she’s writing one on a graphic novel she read a couple of years ago called ghosts. She’s also doing her book talk on that book. Reda started trying to call while she was on this call. Ambria did not answer. Ambria said she doesn’t have roller derby practice, and Ambria said she likes getting a break sometimes. Emily saw Ambria’s slime and asked if she likes watching the videos of the slime. Ambria said she would prefer playing with it to watching. Ambria started talking about the party where she got the slime. Emily asked her name again and said she’d try to remember it. Ambria said that was all she had to say and that she would go. Emily asked if Ambria wanted her to deliver a message to Reda. Ambria said no because she would probably talk to her soon. Emily did not wish Ambria a happy Valentine’s Day.
